Nice campsite, most pitches are isolated from others. Facilities were nice and clean, however, their pump broke down for the showers and washing up station. They did notify us straight away and ensured there was water for drinking and washing up. Overall, would recommend and stay here again.

What a lovely campsite! So peaceful and has everything you need! The little details in the facilities really make this campsite stand out, without a doubt the best off grid campsite we have stayed at! Will definitely be returning to stay here again! Just beware of the very narrow lanes to get there!

Amazing place, we really enjoyed our stay here. Toilets and showers were always lovely and clean, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all provided. Sinks for washing up. Little lodge with a couple of rocking chairs, a lovely place to sit and watch the wildlife. We had pitch 9 which was very big. We met the owners who were both lovely and friendly, fantastic place to say. The only problem was the roads getting there, single lanes with tall hedges that scratched both sides of vehicle. If you met other traffic, not many passing places, so sometimes having to reverse back. No paths, so you couldn't walk anywhere from the campsite as I felt it was too dangerous to walk on the road. I had read other reviews about access but didn't realise just how tight the roads were. Apart from the roads, we had an amazing time, thank you so much.

Such a beautiful place to camp, we had the best time! The owners keep the site clean with little finishing touches that help the stay feel homely. The pitches are spacious, which is great for privacy, and for the kids to have space to explore and play. Location was ideal with a few beaches to drive to, information provided on the notice board about this and places to eat too. Loved our stay and would definitely like to camp here again.

It's off grid camping, but owners have done a great job providing flushing toilets that are clean and a sink and showers (although cold!). Pitches are well planned and set out for privacy. It feels like you are wild camping, it's quiet except for the birds. Recommend if you want a wilder experience with minimal facilities.

We did a tour of Devon and this was our favourite of 7 great campsites. We have a 6 year old and booked mostly sites with parks, but fancied a more 'wild' experience. She had much more fun at this site than any other. The pitches are pretty private with plenty of space and a fire pit. As it is properly in the woods there is plenty of wildlife about. Our daughter loved helping with the fire and spent ages playing with wildlife and feeding a robin that made our pitch it's home for our stay. The facilities are good and the showers warm. The site is tricky to get to due to narrow lanes, I wouldn't fancy taking anything bigger than our Peugeot boxer L3 here. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay, lovely little plots set in the forest, plenty of space and trees between them so it feels really private and cosy. Loved the fire pits at each plot, nice clean toilets and showers and even eco friendly toiletries provided. Amazing value for money, will definitely come back if we're in the area again.

Me and my partner really loved our stay here. It's a very quiet campsite and all the pitches are so private, you can barely see other pitches, in fact most of the time, you can't. We loved it.

Wow. What a wonderful four nights spent in the woodland. Everything was so great - brilliant service and standards, so simple yet so much attention to details, so environmentally minded, caring and peaceful. Best camping we've ever done. We will definitely be back!

The site is just perfect - so natural and shady. We had a brilliant one night camping experience this summer. Facilities beyond expectations. Impressed. Showers brilliant, super comfy rocking chairs in chill out area. Suggestions - Love a natural wood swing on long ropes with a view! For rain, we'd want covered sink area. Also, something we feel is very important - there needs to be a black wheelbarrow with every pitch! We found an old cement wheelbarrow with a wobbly wheel a slightly stressful end to a 100 percent lush experience. Still give 5 stars though! Best camping experience to be had here.

Lovely peaceful campsite, facilities were great, considering it's an off grid site. Lots of lovely additional things like all natural shower gel and soaps in the facilities. Hosts were great and very helpful!

Lovely off grid campsite, the toilets were nice and shower was good, considering it's all off grid. The pitch was nice and secluded with a fire pit and plenty of space for the tent and a gazebo. As long as you don't mind driving down narrow country lanes to get there, it's perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at Barhams. A great site to be immersed in nature. The pitches are private and spacious, with a dedicated camp fire area which was great. As a young family with a 6 month old and a 4 year old, we did find the distance from the car park to our pitch challenging. Lots of back and forth with wheelbarrows was a bit much for a 2 night break. This would have been easier if we were on a pitch closer to the car park. Perhaps it is worth asking the age of the children when booking? Saying that, the children did love camping in the woods. The facilities were clean, tidy and for an off grid site some of the best we have seen. Bravo! We would definitely recommend Barhams to friends and will be coming back, but perhaps when our children are old enough to push their own wheelbarrow. Thank you for a great stay Annie and Christian!

This is basic camping but done really well. Toiletries in the shower are top notch. Lovely warm showers. Be aware though, the approach roads are very narrow Devon lanes with high hedges. If you're not comfortable reversing then maybe not this site. I really liked it and I appreciated the clever use of materials. The shower blocks are corrugated galv, and they really work.

The most beautiful little hidden gem in beautiful rolling hills. Each pitch is nice and private and nestled away, making it feel as close to wild camping as possible. Fire pits were an absolute winner too and the location is prime for everything you need including shops, entertainment and activities and pubs and restaurants. The owners are absolutely delightful and the booking process and communication from them was outstanding. I highly, highly recommend Barhams Woodland Camping! We will be back without a doubt!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. We took our Campervan and Cockapoo for 2 nights and it was bliss! The facilities are beautifully done out and it’s the perfect place for a total switch off. We will definitely be back!
