About Hazel Mount Fellside
Get back to nature at this eco friendly, off-grid campsite. On the boundary of the Lake District National Park, the site is nestled between glorious beaches and picturesque walking country, the best of both worlds! Three smaller pitches, Foxglove, Snowdrop and Bluebell are spaced among wildflowers and trees. Each of these pitches welcome smaller tents and up to three guests. Bluebell is the most secluded and has the perk of being shaded during the day by nearby trees. Due to its location, this is the only pitch where BBQs and fire pits are not allowed. For families and groups of up to four, Primrose pitch allows a large family tent or a few smaller ones together, with stunning views over the estuary and Black Combe. Larger groups of up to eight can hire Daisy Camp. This spacious large grass pitch sits at the front of the site with wonderful panoramic estuary views and a private kitchen area with a sunken fire pit. Up to eight guests can pitch up here, with multiple tents allowed. A large BBQ and smoker can be hired if you wish to take your outdoor cooking to the next level. If you want the whole place to yourself, Hazel Mount Fellside also welcomes exclusive site hire, allowing up to 20 guests at a time. The site has the environment and local wildlife at its forefront. The site is designed to not affect its surroundings, but this does mean the terrain can be a little wild so be sure to pack trainers or walking boots. BBQs and fire pits are available to hire onsite, perfect for a spot of al fresco cooking. Great for toasting marshmallows and just taking in the breathtaking views while waiting to enjoy the night sky. Dogs are allowed too, with plenty of walking routes for you and your four-legged friends.
Hazel Mount is open for the weekend of 12th April, from 24th May to June 2nd and then from 17th July to 1st September.
