Spitfire Park is a fun packed campsite set on a former World War II base in Cornwall, ideally located just a mile from Trevaunance Cove. There are plenty of non electric grass pitches for campers and tourers to choose between, as well as a touring caravan for six. Learn a new skill and take a flying lesson or try your hand at archery at this 400 acre family friendly site.

Site exactly as described, with the experience being made by the hosts. Site was clean and well maintained, Reception couldn't have been better. Wonderful stay, couldn't rate more highly for folk looking for a more remote, less commercial site.
Great location, simple facilities

We stayed one night with our motorhome on an non-electric grass pitch. The location is definitely great - scenic landscape, historic airfield and just one step away from the Coastal Path between Perranporth (4.5 mi / 2 h walk) and St. Agnes (2 mi / 45 min walk) with Cligga head and St. Agnes Beacon in short reach. Facilities are quite simple and electric pitches are not available, but this is properly communicated and prices reasonably account for this, so it was a perfect site for our one-night stopover. Campsite is very quiet, but airtraffic may exist. However, we had only one takeoff and landing during the day we stayed there.

We chose this campsite as it was in a convenient location to do the Car Chase Heroes experience. The pitch was flat and spacious and we had a nice view towards the sea. Booking and check-in were straight forward. The site is right next to the airfield with regular departures of helicopters and planes. We weren't bothered by the noise and it was restricted to sensible times (i.e. not too early or late), but if you like a super quiet site, this isn't the place for you. The facilities let down this site. There was no toilet roll at one point in one of the two ladies loos and no soap in either. Not sure what the state of the men's was. The showers were hit and miss depending on which one you used.

Nice site but very windy as you are on the cliff top.

Lovely place to stay, very close to the beach as well as being able to see planes take off and land. A couple of toilets and showers however, I found that the lights seemed to be on motioned sensors which was fun while using the toilet. It turned out to be quite difficult to place. If using this campsite note that it isn't where it takes you while using the maps app, it is where the driving centre is.
Nice, simple site

Lovely site, perfect for thoses who don't like busy parks and want a more relaxed, simple camping experience. An added attraction of watching the planes take off and the skydivers, parachutet down. The views are stunning at sunset. The showers are not the best, just a drizzle of water. Facilities are a bit limited however you still have all you need to get by.

We went for the Tunes in the Dunes festival and were so happy to stay at the Spitfire Park (although further away so much better than "Babylon" campervan camping on the tarmac).

A basic campsite with an interesting history and a friendly welcome. Café menu limited, but was all very tasty. Close to the beach.

Beautiful park and location is perfect, stunning views, staff friendly and helpful. Large flat areas to camp and you can choose your pitch which is great. Generally, very peaceful, although we did have some noisy neighbours until after 11pm for 2 nights when, on check in, they stipulate quiet after 10pm but I guess tricky to police this. Only real big downside are the facilities and lack of them. I am aware they are developing these which will make a big difference and we can't wait to come back once these are in place. I feel given the fact so few toilets and showers, there is no excuse to keep them clean. I didn't see anyone clean at all over the 4 nights we were there. They were pretty awful, which was a shame. Will definitely return once they have more clean toilets and showers. My kids really enjoyed a driving lesson booked through the campsite. There are some brilliant activities on offer currently for over 12's.

Very busy on Friday and Saturday nights and a lot of people waiting to use shower and toilet facilities - expect queuing. Obviously a park that needs to build more wash up rooms, toilets and showers as the showers go hot to cold frequently. We enjoyed watching the light aircraft and the parachutists. If you don't mind driving, it's not far from Perrenporth - not for walking as it takes two hours to do 4 miles if an experienced hiker. Not the right place if you want entertainment or night life locally!
Absolutely exquisite

Was greeted by such a friendly guy that worked there. Talked us through everything we needed to know and was a really great interaction. Campsite was incredible, everything you could need and plenty of space. Just felt sorry for the one lady cooking all the breakfasts! They did look delicious though :)
