Fabulous place to stay

Fabulous site, really friendly on arrival. Great layout that was easily accessible, facilities were more than adequate and only a short distance from Bude. We had a really enjoyable stay 😊

Not good enough

Really poor toilet and shower blocks. I say blocks, just wooden out-back buildings. I feel it needs a complete overhaul and replacement. Start by knocking the old ones down. Then rebuild on level ground. No shanty, home made doors. More than a few cubicles of each. Male and female blocks, not small, semi flooded sheds. I quite liked the palm trees in between the pitches. Take levelling ramps if in a camper.

Lovely surroundings at our pitch

The site is a lovely grassed area. Pitches are back to back when parked up. Plenty space right to left though. Receptionist instructions seemed a bit vague. We were at pitch 44, but were unclear from the number position where ours finished and our neighbour's started. The numbers started on the left then a space, then a number and so on. 46 a space, 45 a space, 44 a double space and number 43 at the end instead of in sequence. Not logical. It left us unsure if we were in our pitch or our occupied neighbours and that lady was unhelpful when asked for clarity. Ideal place for families. shower block very basic construction.

Lovely stay

Beautiful pitches. The second set of showers don't have a lot of hanging space for keeping clothes dry whilst showering.

Campervan visit

A lovely well laid out site. Peaceful and well situated for Bude. Facilities basic but clean. Would recommend.

Peaceful site

A nice quiet site and walking distance to Bude. The shower and toilet facilities could do with an upgrade. The staff were generally friendly, although the person in the reception when we left on Monday morning wasn't. We'd asked the younger person on the Saturday morning if we'd be able to buy some eggs (and also a jar of the home made honey) when we were to leave on the Monday morning. They said that was fine and they made a note of it for us in the diary. However on the Monday when we were leaving, the person said they didn't know anything about it so we left a bit disappointed and obviously didn't bother with the honey either. Despite this, we would still return again

Lovely site

Fantastic location. Toilets need a bit of work (also the showers). Friendly staff. Fields are lovely. Had a very pleasant stay at this site- thank you.

Loved it

Owners and staff were very pleasant and helpful. The campsite was well presented and clean and close to Bude, a five minute drive or 30 minute walk. Only downside was the shower and toilets could do with upgrading a little.

Average campsite

Recently stayed here over the bank holiday weekend with my 2 children. I was pleased to get a pitch available fairly last minute. The site is fairly small, but the pitches are a really good size. The playground on site was a bit disappointing and not suitable for my 2 year old. We were, however, really pleased with a little activity on our first morning. There is a lovely little room with lots of shells in, and we were able to join in and make some frames by glueing the shells onto them. The kids really enjoyed this. Had to purchase the frames but reasonable price for the activity on offer. The shop has lots of dry food, but not much to offer fresh, so don't expect to be able to buy much on site. The location is fairly good, but when it sign posts to be able to walk to the beach, be prepared to walk at least half hour. On the way back is uphill too! The facilities were fine, but only a handful of toilets/showers for the whole campsite. Probably won't visit again and sadly this is due to the owners. I am afraid that we found him a little rude and short-tempered. He came and complained that some of the children we were with were kicking footballs around and caused other guests to leave. We didn't even have a football!

3 night stay

We booked a last minute booking here in the summer holidays. We used the site as a base as we travelled out every day. The staff were friendly, especially the lady with long dark hair when we arrived and checked in. The site facilities were basic but clean, two toilets and two showers at the top of the site and the same at the bottom. We did have in our heads that the route to walk into Bude was closer then what it was, but it didn't put us off. There is a signed trail to follow as a shortcut into the town and the seafront which was handy. We saw food advertised on site but we didn't see where it was located nor ate from there so unfortunately can not comment.

Lovely site, ideal setting

Minutes from supermarkets, minutes from town and the beach. The campsite is lovely and perfect for families. The farm was disappointing as they could do with a farm trail, we didn't see many animals because of this reason. The main improvement that needs to be made are the shower and toilet facilities. I felt that the showers were really not fit for purpose! If there were better shower facilities, we would definitely return.

Family friendly

Remote area, Morrisons nearby, family friendly and generally good all around.

Good location, nice layout and facilities fair

We found the location was good as we could walk into Bude. Met some nice fellow caravanners. Easy going site. Facilities could be a little better, although to be fair there was plenty of hot water for showers/washing up. Would return if in this area.

Beautiful campsite

This is a beautiful campsite with green space and beautiful trees and plants. It is calm and peaceful and the pitches are a good size. The facilities are clean and convenient. It is a good location being near to local towns and beaches.

Great back to basics

Was a bit pricey for a non-electric pitch, facilities are basic, but the showers are warm and we never found them or the toilets not clean. Good walk into town that is signposted from the campsite. The staff were helpful and we had a good time.

Our facilities are more 'back to basics' camping rather than holiday park chic! We focus our attention on keeping beautiful planting and well-maintained pitches. But as you point out the showers are warm and the facilities are always clean. Really pleased to hear you had a good time, hopefully, you'll consider us again for a future trip!

Peaceful and spacious

This campsite is good value for money. Toilets are clean and there are enough of them to accommodate campers. There is hot water, you have to be early though as it does run out if used too much by too many. Showers are standard. The pitch was very spacious, the pretty plants made it a lovely private space. The people were also very friendly. Would definitely book again.
