There are non electric or 10 amp electric grass pitches for tents, campervans and motorhomes with fire pits available to hire. There is an onsite cafe open at the weekends and a pub a few minutes walk away! Dog friendly.

About Heritage Coast Campsite
Just a 20 minute walk from the breathtaking Monknash Beach this peaceful, adult only site is a brilliant base for exploring South Wales, with the city of Cardiff within a 50 minute drive too. Enjoy views of the Glamorgan Hills and the Bristol Channel, plus live music at the next door pub in the evenings! There are two paddocks onsite with just 26 level grass pitches for tents, campervans and motorhomes plus spaces for cars for convenience. With uninterrupted views of the rural vale of Glamorgan and sparkling waters of the Bristol Channel, this campsite is ideal for those looking to escape from it all. There is the option of non electric pitches or some with a 10 amp hook up. There are also two lodges onsite. Teddy's Bar and Restaurant serves light snacks and breakfasts and is open Fridays until noon on Sunday for weekend visitors, with a roaring log fire and a patio for summer nights. Hot drinks are served as well as a well stocked bar, perfect for sitting out in the evenings listening to the owls hooting. Visiting the Glamorgan Heritage Coast Path is a must, 14 miles of unspoilt coastline for walking or heading down to a hidden bay. Guests are encouraged to visit Cwm Nash, a beautiful beach just a 15 minute walk from the campsite through woodland with its own waterfall! Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. Open fires are not permitted, but the site does have fire pits available to hire, just add this option when booking, and it will be delivered to your pitch! Gas BBQs are also welcome. Wood also must be purchased onsite. Disposable BBQs and your own fire pits are not permitted.
Heritage Coast Campsite is open from 01/03 to 31/10 in 2024 and from 01/03 to 30/10 in 2025.

Things to do on site and in the Cowbridge area
The campsite is located just a ten minute walk via public footpaths to Monkash Beach, ideal for rock-pooling at low tide and dramatic cliff top walks and the Blaen-y-cwm nature reserve and beach, a lovely 15 minute stroll from the campsite through a wonderful wood with its own waterfall.
The two historic towns of Cowbridge and Llantwit Major are just a short drive from the campsite and offer everything from supermarkets to coffee shops and historic inns for a bite to eat plus boutiques and gift shops.
Llantwit Major offers a train or bus service to the Cardiff, the capital city of Wales (50 minute drive), if you're looking for city style facilities such as swimming pools, an ice-rink, museums and great shopping too!
The Vale is a coastal region and the most southerly point in Wales, along which runs the Wales Coast Path through Victorian seaside resorts such as Penarth and Barry Island and over secluded coves and beautiful beaches offering surfing, boat cruises or just a lovely relaxing day out (don't forget buckets and spades!).
