Barrhill Holiday Park is an ideal base for exploring South West Scotland, ten minutes from the Galloway Forest. It offers a selection of family and dog friendly glamping pods, each with a hot tub, fire pit and kitchenette area. Also welcoming tents and tourers, there are great facilities with a play park, communal kitchen and more. Only 20 minutes to the coast and surrounded by countryside, there are many walking and cycling routes to enjoy too!

About Barrhill Holiday Park
Surrounded by scenic countryside and the Duisk River, this tranquil country park is tucked between calming farmland and charming wooded areas. A family owned business, the site offers guests a relaxing, peaceful escape, ideal for both couples and families. For those looking who love glamping, there are a great selection of pods on offer. Each comes with heating, electric, a 32-inch TV and a kitchen area with a mini fridge, microwave and kettle. Outside you will also have your own luxury outdoor hot tub with privacy fencing, along with a fire for toasting marshmallows under a star-lit sky. The Stargazer comes equipped with two double and two singles. whilst the Astrologer come with a double, two single and a pull-out small double sofa bed, both sleeping up to six. Both feature their own ensuite loo with shared showers nearby. The three Ensuite Deluxe Pods can accommodate up to five guests, equipped with two double beds and a single bed with mattresses. You will also have the added bonus of a modern ensuite with a loo and shower, plus an outdoor picnic bench for al fresco dining. Whether you're looking to relax and recharge with a break in nature, or get active and head for the hills, you'll find plenty of opportunities here and the park has the advantage of only being a mile from a village and its amenities. A selection of hardstanding touring pitches are also provided as well as electric grass pitches for tent campers. If you're looking to stay longer, why not try a weekly holiday home rental, where you'll be greeted with a well furnished home that includes self contained facilities. Dogs are welcome to join you for your stay, with up to two allowed in each of the pods.
This site is open from March to January and for weekends only in February.

Things to do on site and in the Girvan area
The area around Barrhill is perfect for adventure fans with plenty of well qualified outdoor adventure specialists who can get you started. Galloway Forest Park (10 minutes) is a fantastic place to roam, and, like this site, it's a place where you'll find impressive Dark Skies, so stargazing is recommended.
Once you're winding along the coastline into Ayr, be sure to stop at Alloway (50 minutes), home of the well known poet Robert Burns, where you can explore his poetry and history.
For a day by the sea, a trip to Girvan Beach (20 minutes) is a must. Enjoy views over the harbour, allowing kids to run around in the playpark, eating delicious fish and chips or simply chilling on the shore and taking a refreshing dip.
