About Grooby's Pit

A great location for those wanting some much needed peace and quiet. Welcoming adults only, this small touring and glamping park is perfect for keen fishermen and those looking to explore the Lincolnshire coast, with Skegness just a 15 minute drive away. Touring pitches are positioned around both lakes, welcoming caravans, campervans and motorhomes. All of the pitches allow up to two guests, ensuring it is never too overcrowded, with a 16 amp electric hook up, light and individual water tap. On the Main Lake, pitches are hardstanding with gravel and level with grey waste draining. There are 9m x 9m pitches for all tourers, surrounded by fresh hedging, with a 5.4m x 9m hardstanding pitch for campervans and motorhomes only. Rock pegs are recommended for awnings. On the Nursery Lake, there are two gravel 9m x 7m hardstanding pitches, along with three grass pitches. Please note, these pitches require grey waste to be collected. If you fancy a little luxury, there is Kingfisher Lookout a shepherd's hut. Sleeps up to two with a double sofa bed (bedding and towels not provided), storage, wall-hung TV, and an ensuite with a loo, heated towel rail, hand basin and shower. For all of your cooking needs, you will also have a kitchenette with a microwave, hob, fridge/freezer, kettle toaster, crockery and utensils. You will have a wall heater to keep you cosy, along with electric and table and chairs for dining. Double doors lead you out of Kingfisher Lookout to a decked patio area with a large private fishing peg. For unwinding in style it features a wood burner, table and chairs, a double rocking chair, outdoor lighting and a lower deck for fishing. Tucked away to the side, you will even have a private hot tub! For evenings onsite, guests are welcome to bring along their own BBQ, just please ensure they are raised from the ground. Single Axle Caravan - Electric Gravel Touring Pitches (Main Lake)Oct 2024

What a wonderful place to stay, owners are amazing, they were so friendly and helpful. The site is so well kept, it was clean and tidy, there was great fishing and great fish management. The dogs loved the dog pen and an added bonus there was a dog parlour on site, so we could wash them down. We enjoyed our stay so much, we are already planning to visit again very soon.

Around the site are seating areas where you can watch the wildlife or take in the amazing sunsets. Bird watchers should look out for the family of resident kingfishers. With owls, kestrels, swans, wild geese ducks and moorhens, there's always something to see. Not forgetting the pet chickens that free range around the site which produce the eggs for sale.
