A note from the site themselves...

The farmhouse dates back to the 1800's and used to be the milking parlour before it was converted back in the early 2000s. On the edge of the farm, there is a disused railway line, which carried coal from the Welsh Valleys to Barry Docks.

David and his wife Thelma set up the caravan site when they took over the farm in the 1960s. They have two children, Claire and Daniel. Claire moved to London and went on to retire from the Metropolitan Police. Daniel works locally in an agricultural machinery dealership.

Both still come and help out on the farm when they can, with the help of David and his four grandchildren. Matthew, one of the grandkids, helps run the farm and caravan site with his grandfather.

Single Axle Caravan - Winter Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2024

Nice wide access onto site, level hard standing and grass pitches. A short drive to Barry, great for Gavin & Stacey fans! About 1/2 hr to Cardiff, a lovely city. I had a lovely breakfast at Pugh's garden centre and a lovely meal at a Beefeater restaurant/ bar just 5 mins down the road. Love the recycling facilities on site, there was only 2 showers but it looks their in the process of building more. Generally very clean and tidy with it being a working farm, but the showers could do with a good scrub around the disability handles and seats around the showers. Would definitely recommend and go again 👍🏼

Motorhome - Winter Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2024

Lovely and peaceful, there were not many staying the night, but we did. I think there would be a queue for the loo if it was busy, a great shower and dishwashing facilities. I would come back as no one bothered us.

Motorhome - Winter Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2024

Facilities were excellent. If anything, maybe hard standing might have been more level. I couldn't empty my grey water as there was a motor home parked too close to the waste point.
