About Dolgamedd Holiday Park
Nestled in the lush woodlands of Southern Snowdonia/Eryri, this family friendly site makes an ideal base for exploring North Wales. Just 25 minutes from the coast, enjoy days out on the beach or navigating picturesque walking trails. The site welcomes tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes with generous sized pitches, some with 10 amp electric. Campfires are also allowed on the riverbank, but caravans aren't allowed on these pitches, sorry. The best pitches for caravans are either in full sun on the middle field between the entrance and the shower block, or the four pitches on The Bryn, just above the riverbank. The different parts of the park are separated by trees and hedges, so you'll see plenty of birds and wildlife with herons and wild ducks often seen on the river. The site has a laid-back feel with the aim of everyone enjoying some much needed relaxation. Four-legged friends can also join you, with up to two dogs per family and if they remain on the lead.
Open from Easter or April 1st, whichever comes first, and closes on the 31st of October.

Things to do on site and in the Dolgellau area
There are plenty of walks directly from the campsite along public footpaths, as well as the beautiful Torrent Walk five minutes up the road. Safe family cycling and walking along is available at Llwybr Mawddach Trail which winds for 9.5 miles (15km) along the disused railway track on the southern edge of the spectacular Mawddach estuary, between Dolgellau and Barmouth.
Watersports at Llyn Tegid, Bala (25 minutes), white water rafting at Canolfan Dŵr Gwyn Cenedlaethol/National White Water Centre at Frongoch near Bala (25 minutes) and there are beautiful beaches all along the coast.
