About the site


The site is a small family business that prides itself on high standards of cleanliness and offers a warm welcome to this award winning farm holiday location. The pedigree livestock in surrounding fields have won prizes in many of the major shows and sales. Onsite you'll find flat hardstanding pitches with electric and water hook ups easily accessible. There's also a choice of grass pitches. Around the site, you'll find a grassy play area for ball games and a small fenced duck pond. The pond and wildlife area is available to visitors however children must always be accompanied by a responsible adult. The farm animals enjoy the attention of visitors and stroking or feeding them is part of the magic of your stay. Your dogs are welcome at Coedhirion but they must be kept on a lead at all times.

Site facilities include a toilet and shower block with three family wet rooms and a baby changing mat. There's also a microwave, refrigerator, kettle, hairdryer, washing machine, tumble dryer and a small barbecue area.

Snacks are available at the Llanddarog shop and post office and there are two excellent public houses with award winning restaurants within walking distance. Another small grocery shop and post office is a five minute drive away and open in the evenings and weekends.

We endeavour to have as few rules and regulations as possible and rely on your good sense and consideration for others to prevail.

The few rules we do have are as follows:

1) All dogs must be on leads when out and about as they can frighten our livestock

2) Dog poo bags must be used and placed in the clearly labelled container outside the Shower Block

3) All children must be accompanied by an adult to the Shower Block

4) Visits to the adjoining fields and buildings are prohibited because of vulnerable crops and livestock roaming freely

5) All rubbish should be placed in the CRES skip provided near the farm entrance

6) In the interests of safety there is a 5mph speed limit both in the site and on the adjoining driveway.

Please wash your hands after contact with the animals.


See the farm animals onsite during your stay. Walk along the driveway and you'll see the sheep and cattle. Wildlife spotters should look out for the site's resident Red Kite or explore the pond and wildlife area and spot a variety of birds, wild flowers and pond creatures.

Visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales which is a five minute drive away.

Visit the castles and the gardens at Aberglasney all set in the beautiful Towy Valley.

Enjoy a trip to the beach with fish and chips at Llanstephan and look across the estuary to Ferryside.

Or take a short drive to either Llandeilo or Carmarthen. Two historic market towns with lively shops and plenty of restaurants to choose from! Carmarthen also boasts one of the oldest indoor markets and a museum in the former Bishop's Palace

Hop onto the dual carriageway and explore either the stunning Gower Peninsula or the Pembrokeshire National Park, both are about 45 minutes away.

A footpath nearby enables you to walk safely to the historic village of Llanddarog where delicious food is available. On a clear day you can see Paxton's Tower and the Black Mountains. The site is also only a ten minute drive away from the Roman town of Carmarthen and there is a regular bus service from the village.

This is also the are the closest Caravan and Camping Site to the National Botanic Garden which is just a five minute drive away.
