About the site


Located near Dilham in East Norfolk, Canal Camping has its own private waterway and is the perfect spot for a quiet waterside break. The back-to-basics site is suitable for tents only, with no electric available. Spend the day canoeing or paddle boarding on the water, and come back to a burning brazier to toast your marshmallows and cook up a feast. There's space for up to 50 camping pitches, as well as chic bell tents which are furnished and set in their own private area.

The site has a private canal running through, which joins the North Walsham and Dilham Canal with a bit of paddling. Canoes are available for hire, and it's a great spot for paddle boarding too. Larger boats can reach down to Dilham Fishery, but smaller boats, kayaks and canoes can follow the canal as far as Honing.

In total, the Norfolk Broads National Park offers more than 125 miles of waterways to explore. Alderfen and Hickling broads are particular highlights.

There are a number of good beaches nearby too, including Happisburgh, Sea Palling, Cromer, Mundesley and Great Yarmouth.

In land, Stalham, Wroxham and Aylsham are all worth exploring.
