About Woodlands Camping

Nestled in the Hampshire countryside, this small eco site is perfect for those searching for a relaxing rural getaway. Within the South Downs National Park, the site is great for anyone wanting to spend their days out walking or cycling. If you are looking for an almost wild camping stay, the site has six 4m x 4m pitches available in the forest. The Littlewood pitches are each non electric and allow tents and up to four guests, set amongst ancient trees with shelter from the canopy of leaves above. In the clearing area, there are a further six pitches suitable for tents, trailer tents and campervans. Each of these non electric grass pitches are for adults only and measure 8m x 8m and allows up to six guests with your own picnic table for al fresco dining. Please note these pitches will be adult only during the summer holidays. For larger groups, there are 12 non electric grass pitches in the meadow, allowing up to eight guests each. There pitches welcome tents, trailer tents and campervans, measuring 6m x 6m with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy some peace and quiet. If you don't want to bring your accommodation with you, the site also has three bell tents available. The bell tents can sleep up to two, though they do come unfurnished so you will need to bring everything with you except the tent, including your beds and bedding. If you are wanting to cook up something delicious, the site welcomes BBQs and raised fire pits. Wood can also be purchased onsite which is sourced from a locally managed woodland. Four-legged friends can also join you for your stay, with up to two allowed per pitch, excluding the bell tents.

The site is open from February to November, the Meadow pitches and bell tents are available from Easter.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (The Meadow)Nov 2024

We had a fantastic stay at Woodlands camping as a group of 4 adults and a child. The surrounding area is beautiful and looked particularly pretty this time of year with the autumn colours. We had a delicious pub lunch locally at The Fox. Great. Communication from the site was really good with all the information we needed to check in. The site is semi wild camping with 2 compost toilets and a shower. Compost toilets were clean and well cared for, perhaps a little small (2 adults were over 6ft and found it a bit of a squeeze!).

Great stay!
