After a beachside day out, you can enjoy views from your tent of the stunning rolling hills of Dorset. The farm is packed with animal personalities, which you can say hello to everyday. There are also plenty of non-resident wildlife that like to spend time on the farm, like deer, hares and owls - all well worth watching out for! Parents love the canvas safari tents as the children can play and roam freely, without being away from the watchful eye of their family. The luxury glamping accommodation is also set close to the farmyard, with cows, goats, pigs, hens and ducks in easy reach. East Shilvinghampton is an ideal destination for group holidays too, featuring a total of eight spacious lodges complete with optional ensuite or private outdoor hot shower.

The site offers a jacuzzi in a private setting and shared showers for those not in ensuite accommodation. There is a communal campfire, as well as an outdoor covered eating area (great for events) and a pizza and bread oven which guests can use. A small honesty shop will keep you stocked with all the essentials.

FAQ

Arrival is between 4pm and 6pm. If you expect to arrive later than this, please do inform the farmer as there is no on-site reception. Check out is 10:30am unless a late checkout has been pre-booked and agreed.

A maximum of two dogs per accommodation is allowed, fee applicable. Dogs must be kept on the lead at all times while on the farm and can not be left behind in the accommodation.

Yes. You can fit a travel cot in the accommodation. You can also hire one from the site for a small fee. Due to limited space, only one cot per lodge is allowed.

The wood-fired stove inside of the accommodation will keep it warm and cosy. It is important to regularly add some wood. During the night the site recommend bringing warm pyjamas and perhaps some extra blankets and a hot water bottle.

A tour of the farm to meet their many suckler cows and calves, plus many more farmyard friends is an absolute must. You'll definitely want to meet the Labradors Ora and Lizzie, the pet goat Trit-Trot and her little ones, Leonard the farm cat, the ducks Pit, Pat and Paddle, Henry's pigs, Chase the horse, and Pippin the pony.
