About Caerhun Farm

Set on a working farm with a family friendly atmosphere, this is a great spot for reconnecting with nature. The site is relaxed and intimate, offering a few grassy pitches, bell tents and glamping units. Oh, and plenty of friendly (and occasionally mischievous) goats, chickens, alpacas and donkeys who all love to meet guests! Ready to pitch up, light a campfire and enjoy the backdrop of the Snowdonia mountain range? Campers can choose from 11 non-electric grassy pitches with space for tents that sleep a maximum of eight people. Camping is available throughout the summer holidays and selected weekends in June and July. If you're more a glamper than a camper, there are bell tents and cosy glamping pods for hire. The furnished bell tent has one double bed and two single beds, with room for a small travel cot that can be provided upon request. Bedding is provided and solar power for lighting and USB charging is available. The tent is set within a secluded area of the farm. A pod offers a welcoming and fuss-free base for up to two adults for those travelling light. These have views over the mountains and farm, fitted with electric, USB charging points, a double bed and storage. A small tent can be pitched alongside so that the kids or other adults can stay with you. Bedding and towels are provided. It's an easy drive drive to beaches along the coast (20 minutes to Penmaenmawr Beach and others) with watersports, hiking and more to be found in the wider area. Dogs are welcome and BBQs, firepits and camping stoves are available to hire from reception for an extra charge.

Camping is available during the May half term and summer holidays. Glamping pods are available between March and September and bell tents between May and September.

A note from the site themselves...

We made the move to North Wales from Milton Keynes in 2020 with a dream to open a campsite. Having had many happy camping holidays with our family and wanted to open a campsite which had everything we would hope for when camping, a simple campsite where families can reconnect with nature.

Since opening, we have planted over 100 new trees, including an orchard. Guests are asked to keep with this green ethos during their stay, including recycling their rubbish and composting their food waste.

We love our goats and donkeys and are happy for our guests to enjoy their fun and calming qualities whilst overlooking mountains.

Both of us are NHS nurses so very much appreciate the quiet and tranquillity of the farm - and hope you do too.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2024

Lovely quiet location, ideal to explore the majority of North Wales! The owners were very welcoming and the farm animals very friendly. The campsite could benefit from more sink washing facilities, but other than that it was fantastic!

Small Tent - Non Electric Wild PitchesAug 2024

The owners were very responsive. As with most campsites, to get the very best out of the site I would recommend coming off-peak.
