About Livit Adventures and Glamping

Helmed by Kevin and Sarah, they run the show and here, guests are in more than capable hands. Try kitesurfing, land kiting or paddle boarding, or just go for a good hike in the local area - you can book all this direct with the site and hire boards and equipment directly. Located on the North Devon coast, the site is less than half a mile from the sea and views out to Lundy Island, you won't find a finer location on the Hartland Heritage Coast. Choose from two options of beautiful bell tents - glamping or pre-pitched camping are equipped for you to bring your own sleeping and cook gear or arrive to full comforts, depending on the tent you choose. The basic, pre-pitched option offers the camping experience without the fuss of putting up your own tent. It's basic, but you won't be disappointed! You have camp beds, carpet, rugs and internal light, camp chairs and a picnic table with your beautiful 5m bell tent- but you'll need to bring your own sleeping bags or bedding and cooking equipment. There is a shared cooking shelter for you to create your camping feast using your own equipment if the weather is particularly British, complete with convenient USB chargers. Meanwhile, the luxury- more up-market glampers can enjoy one of the three luxury bell tents set up on their own decking, furnished with king-sized beds, rugs and furnishings, with private kitchen shacks alongside and also include bbq and a picnic bench. Fire pits are provided for the luxury glampers. They can be hired for the basics for those crackling evening campfires, and facilities (hot showers, clean toilets and a washing area) are shared with the adjacent campsite. It takes just 10 minutes to stroll from your bell tent to the South West Coast Path, where you can head in either direction to find some of the region's most beautiful beaches and settlements. Whether it's the sparkling sands of Westward Ho! or the harbour village of Clovelly, so lovely that lovely is practically its name.

Livit Adventures and Glamping is open from 17/05 to 14/09.

A note from the site themselves...

Hi, we're Kevin and Sarah! We set up Livit Adventures in 2017. We absolutely love the outdoors and everything North Devon has to offer, and Livit was set up to showcase what we have here on our doorstep - the natural beauty and endless activities!

We are super keen kitesurfers and surfers and will most likely be squeezing in a quick trip to the beach between lessons and changeovers.

If we aren't at the beach, you'll find us at the local wake park or on the coast path... either way, we won't be indoors!

Bell Tent - Standard Bell Tents (Four Person)Aug 2024

The most beautiful experience. Sarah and Kevin are running a slick operation- what a beautiful and wonderful time. We went as a family with our 4 year old, and she had never camped before. They are truly child and dog friendly. Loved it!

Bell Tent - Luxury Bell TentsAug 2024

We received a warm welcome and cannot fault the site for its cleanliness and the facilities available to us as first time glampers. The site was remote enough to be quiet, but close enough to allow a quick trip to nearby Westward Ho and Bideford by car. Plenty of good walks around the cliffs as well if you want. Very highly recommended and already looking forward to our next stay at Livit.

Bell Tent - Standard Bell Tents (Two Person)Aug 2024

We have stayed only two nights and unfortunately weather wasn't great We felt really cold in the tent due to strong winds on the hill. We would appreciate extra blankets. On the last day, there wasn't water pressure in the shower. I had soap on me but I wasn't able rinse myself so I had to use shower outside of building. Tent was super clean and spot less. Location is absolutely stunning just like post card views. I would highly recommended to families and couples with pets.

FAQ

Check-in is from 3pm-7pm and you must vacate your glamping bell tent by 11am on day of departure.

You're welcome to bring a dog on your stay here, provided they are kept on a lead whilst onsite and are not a breed/crossbreed listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Fire pits are available to hire and there is a BBQ and fire pit located on the decking outside each luxury bell tent - open campfires are not permitted.

The South West Coast Path is located just ten minutes from the site, and there are plenty of Blue Flag awarded beaches in the area too - Westward Ho! is the nearest, four miles away. Board hire is available onsite, and the owners also manage an adventure holiday company at the same site, providing plenty of info on the best watersport spots! Wakeboarding and yoga sessions also available. Other local attractions: *Milky Way Adventure Park (7 miles) *North Devon Wake Park (7.1 miles) *Saunton Sands (20 miles) *Croyde Bay (23.3 miles)

There's no end to the coastal activities on offer in this stretch of the southwest, and many can be arranged directly with Livit Adventures. You're in safe hands with Kevin and Sarah -- both are qualified instructors, and Kevin is a British Masters kitesurfing champion.

The South West Coast Path can be picked up a mere 10 mins from the site, while the Blue Flag beaches of North Devon and North Cornwall lay within easy reach. Westward Ho!, with its long white-sand beach popular with kitesurfers, is only 10 minutes away.

Idyllic Clovelly is about 20 minutes away, a historical fishing town notable for its steep, car-free cobbled main street and industrious resident donkeys, the only transport permitted.

Around 45 mins away, you'll find Bude, with its welcoming golden sands, pastel-coloured beach huts and (allegedly) the best Cornish pasties in the southwest. Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay are excellent for surfing at a similar distance - the former is ideal for all abilities, while the latter's gnarly waves are strictly for the more experienced.

Lundy Island beckons across the water from your bell tent - book a day trip across to the Lundy Island ferry. Golfers can enjoy the course at Royal North Devon Golf Club - England's oldest - while the North Devon Wake Park, Ultimate Adventure Centre and The Milky Way offer fun for all the family.
