Lovely quiet stay with great views

Lovely site with great views. Friendly owners who checked the toilets and facilities for cleanliness every morning /night. Very welcoming owners happy to help! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Reallly enjoyed it

Had a good time, really good location for peace and quiet, and some nice walks for dogs.

Lovely peaceful and clean campsite

Perfect stay! A lovely site - really spacious, peaceful and quiet in a great location for walks. A very clean and well kept site. Pub and cafe in Monyash a short walk away for really good food.

Great, peaceful place to camp with campfire

Great location, beautiful countryside and the friendliest lady (Cheryl) looking after the place. She even got our campfire lit (as well as supplying the wood, marshmallows and sticks for roasting them). Cleanest portaloos I have ever seen. Great experience. Closest to wild camping with benefits: washing up facilities, WC and ability to have a campfire. Great pub twenty mins walk. Highly recommend.

Great location, staff brilliant

Very relaxed friendly campsite, staff helpful and pleasant. Bulls Head pub a short walk away serves great food. Basic, but exactly what you need.

Lovely peaceful location

Very friendly welcoming from owner. The only two things that let it down is they could do with another shower cubicle and the toilet had empty hand sanitizer, which is dangerous with the Covid epidemic. Very peaceful site. Nice pub nearby.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I’m pleased you liked the location as we aim to make it as peaceful as possible as if your camping in the wild. This is why we only provide one shower (sort of a bit of a luxury item) because if your camping in the wild you wouldn’t find a shower unless you found a waterfall or a place to swim. This is why the shower is also cold. With regards to the hand sanitiser, I check the facilities twice a day and as soon as I realised it was empty it was replaced with a full one promptly. Thank you.

Wild camping

Nice lady. Great location - fields and hills as far as the eye can see. Lots of space and safe to play. Very peaceful, but not too far from places of interest. Great sunsets.

Brilliant site, definitely recommended

We would definitely recommend this site, so clean and peaceful. The owners are really friendly and were always popping in to clean the toilets and showers, empty the rubbish, etc. There are lots of walks and places to visit nearby and a couple of pubs a short distance away. Great view to watch the sunset. We'll definitely come back.

Exactly what we wanted and more

This campsite was perfect for what we were looking for - a wild night camping under the stars. We went not expecting any toilets or facilities, but there were portaloos which were very clean, and a fresh water shower.The owners came round and made sure they said hello and checked we were settled in. Really lovely experience and we will be coming back! The close proximity to Bakewell was also perfect to go exploring and grab some tarts!

Weekend stay

Excellent. We loved it and will defo come again! Loved the way the owner came round every evening to check we were ok and offer us fire wood …really lovely lady.

Fabulous stay

A beautiful back to basics camp where we were made to feel very welcome. The owner was fantastic, very friendly and ensured we knew about the local area and the things we could do there. The facilities, although basic, were immaculate. The owners cleaned these regularly. The site was big enough for the children to play. We will absolutely return!

Great site

Great site with the most friendly staff. Plenty of space. Other campers were very friendly and a mix of families, couples and groups of friends. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are a couple and family-friendly campsite. We're actually not a site for groups, but the odd one does end up booking in. Luckily they've been great so far. Hope to see you again next year.

Fabulous stay

We stayed here for 2 nights, the owners were amazing, so polite and made sure the facilities were immaculate at all times. The site was quiet, everyone had enough space, and because you could choose where to pitch up, everyone gave each other lots of space. The open field was amazing for children and our doggy. We will definitely return.

Fantastic camping holiday!

We were warmly greeted when we arrived. The field was beautiful and quiet. There was a very friendly local pub in walking distance which we went to every night. We will definitely come again next year! Thank you very much.

Flat large field, clean facilities and very windy

Very large field, which was flat for the majority. 360° views of the beautiful scenery. Facilities (4 x portaloos & 1 x Shower) were very clean. The owner was really friendly. There are no trees or walls to control the wind, so be prepared for a gusty visit.

Thank you for your review. Yes we don't have any trees around to protect you from the wind, but we are a pop-up wild camping campsite. One bonus to this is that you do get 360-degree views of the countryside. To be honest, we don't get that many windy days up there.

Very enjoyable time, we stayed 5 days, beautiful views, lovely clover! Recommend it to anyone who wants peace. Monyash a walk away with Bulls head for good beer 🍺 Malc and Eda
