Campsite Rules
We are a small friendly quiet campsite that does our best to create a relaxing atmosphere for anyone who stays with us. To achieve this please observe the following rules and conditions. Thank you.
What we like
• Outdoor enthusiasts and people coming to enjoy the outdoors. People who care about nature and the environment.
• Duke of Edinburgh groups are welcome but please contact us directly for this.
• Space for everyone to relax - 3m at least between each tent
• Respect for other campers
• Dogs are very welcome (tired out dogs even better!) please keep dogs on a lead at all times and clean up after them immediately. If you want to let your dog have a run, there is a dog walking field for this, so please feel free to use that.
• Families are very welcome here but supervise children at all times. Please be respectful to other campers, and use the children's play area for football etc
• Visitors are welcome at your pitch, but please speak to reception first so we know who is on site. Visitors will be charged at £5.00 per day for use of the on site facilities (and parking only if available).
• Fire pits are provided free of charge, please leave them where they are located. Due to recent changes in the law you can't use your own firewood, please buy all firewood from the campsite reception and do not try to find wood from trees.
What we don't like
• We are quiet site, no music allowed. If you do want to listen to music, please use headphones as not everyone wants to listen to your music choice, and this keeps the campsite peaceful for all.
• We have a strict no noise after 10pm policy, we are a quiet site so please respect this or book another campsite. Quietly talking amongst yourself is perfectly fine but please respect others and talk quietly. Please refrain from driving on site after this time. You may be asked to leave if you do not follow this.
• Large Groups - we cannot accommodate large family or friend groups, no more than 6 adults or 2 families. Please get in touch as we may be flexible for organised groups such as DofE or outdoor events.
• BBQ's and Fires - please only use the firepits provided free of charge and purchase wood from campsite reception. If you wish to use a bbq, please ensure that is raised off the ground to not damage the grass, bricks are available for this purpose. Please dispose of ash, charcoal etc only in the ash bin provided.
• Please note we are a rural site, please only use toilet paper and natural waste in the facilities. Anything else will block the system. No chemicals either please as it will contaminate the ecological balance of the sewage treatment system and cause damage to the ecology of the beck and Bassenthwaite Lake.
• No antisocial behaviour - we will have to ask you to leave
• Litter - please make sure you put all rubbish in the bins provided
Arrivals from 1pm to 7pm, please leave site by 11am
