This was an end of season camp for us. The night was a bit on the cold side, but the stay was very enjoyable non the less.

Great campsite. Good location for a drink and the kids to play. Great food. The toilets could do with being a bit cleaner, and maybe toilets for women only, as my wife went in a toilet and a man had urinated all over the toilet seat.

It's a lovely family run campsite. The pub is beautiful and the staff are friendly and welcoming. They do a great cup of coffee. The play area is fantastic and kept my 7 year old entertained for hours. The only shop in the village is the pub. So I would recommend you take all you essentials.

During our stay, we found the facilities to be disgusting. At the point of first shower, the place had not been cleaned and for the entire stay, did not get cleaned. Wi-Fi reception and EE reception was non existent. The price of food was, in our opinion, expensive. On our last afternoon, the site became a building site with ground works taking place, no mention or warning this was about to happen. Thank goodness there were no children around the site at that time. We thought the site fees would be okay, thinking we could have a nice stay, being able to eat and drink but unfortunately it was far from that, so the fees of £124, plus £50 for a meal with drink was not worth it considering the state of the place.

A great site for families. It's safe for kids to run around on the large field the campsite is on. If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful camping trip, then this is probably not for you, but recommended highly for families with children. It's at the back of a pub with a play area so win-win for those who like to pop to the pub for a pint or two.

A fantastic site, where the staff were so warm and welcoming and happy to help with anything. All the staff in the pub were really great and the food served was delicious! This site was perfect for us with two young children. It was peaceful and chilled, with everyone respecting each others space. Great value for money and we will definitely visit again.

Would have loved to had got to used this site properly but unfortunately we had used the site whilst visiting the balloon festival and was back late and had to leave early. I can say that the staff are friendly and polite and the site is well looked after.

Friendly greeting from hosts, after being given pitch we found it no problem. We had a lovely peaceful couple of days listening to wildlife instead of engines. I will be booking again for a little later in the year.

I would 100% return here, all is clean, hygienic, well maintained and the kids loved it too. The pub is handy for a nice meal and the kids loved playing pool. Great weekend had by us all. Thank you so much.

I arrived at the site and had no clue where to check in. There were no signs at all. The people sitting in the outdoor restaurant told me to go into the bar and ask there. There was a young lady there who eventually gave me the relevant info and waved her hand in the general direction of the portacabin where the toilets and showers were. The shower floors were covered in cut grass, which made showering a bit unpleasant. Apart from that, the hardstanding spaces were well spaced out and the actual toilets and shower stalls were clean. Although the hotel pub was busy, it was quiet where I was parked up.
Site's response
Pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the pitches spacious and quiet! Apologies you didn't know where to check in, we do send all customers a link to our online visitor guide with their booking which I can see went out to you on 31/05 and it asks you to view the online visitor guide, with a link, for check-in information. In addition to this, more signage is actually on order asking customers to check-in at the pub or cafe before pitching, but we are still waiting on that to arrive. Unfortunately, grass is often a problem in the showers being next to/on the tent camping field. They are cleaned 2-3 times per day, but with children running in and out, grass often gets left by guests - we do leave squeegee mops in all bathrooms and signs asking guests to clean up after themselves and let us know if the bathrooms need additional attention. We appreciate using the mop to clean up after themselves is dependent on the guests staying if they choose to clean up any mess they make. Thank you for staying with us and we will hopefully see you in future, regards, Between Rivers xx

I thought the toilets and pub were not so clean and also a group of lads were very noisy quite late. I would go again though as this could be something out of their control, like a lack of staff. Staff very friendly and helpful.

A great little gem of a campsite. In the big field behind the pub. Pub is lovely with a small games room with pool table, dart board etc. Good beer! Toilets all have a shower as well. Spotlessly clean. Good size pitch for a camper with picnic bench and very very dark at night so brilliant views of the stars.

Me and the missus stopped here and could not fault the place. The site is spot on with clean shower room facilities that actually has running hot water, so don't forget to take a towel. There is a pub on site also, where the owners/staff are all friendly and the food is incredible - highly recommend the parmesan and truffle chips. To top if off, the village itself is stunning. We will definitely be heading back in the summer.

We booked a 3-night stay but because of the snow, we could only do 2 nights. I rang to inform the site & was offered another night but couldn't because of work. It was rather wet when we arrived, but was a pretty site. 4 cubicles with toilets & showers available 24 hours. Very clean. Old George Inn was amazing. The hosts were fabulous & so friendly & they love dogs. Pub was great. Staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. As for the food!! Fantastic. It was great!! The best Sunday lunch EVER. We can't wait to visit again 😊

What a lovely place. A huge field behind a superb pub, glorious surroundings and the best thing - no outside lighting so at night, we could see the stars.

Nice location, great food, friendly staff. Would be nice to see a discount on overnight motorhome stays for guests who use the restaurant.
