About Chase Camping at Four Oaks Farm

This family friendly, 'pop-up' campsite is spread across 30 acres of open land behind Four Oaks Farm in Staffordshire, offering plenty of space for everyone to unwind. As it's in the heart of the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the site is also a hive for keen cyclists and walkers alike. It's a wonderfully laid-back affair, with camping and glamping pitches available for families of all sizes. There are 50 pitches for tent and trailer tent pitches, with 20 also including a 16 amp electric hook up. However, the place is never packed full so campers are left with plenty of space to enjoy games and relaxing. All of the pitches allow up to eight guests with an average of 12m x 15m each so no one is on top of each other! For those who don't want to bring their own camping gear, the site has a range of four, six and eight man bell tents available. The bell tents come pre-erected and unfurnished, but you can choose to add air beds if you would like to make life easier. If you want a really relaxing experience, opt for the deluxe twin bell tent. Sleeping up to four, the tent comes kitted out with a double bed with bedding, along with towels, camping furniture, a lantern and bunting. For cooking, you will also be equipped with a cool box, camping stove, crockery, utensils, pots, pans, a camping kettle, a worktop and even tea and coffee! The campsite is situated opposite the Birches Valley Forest, home to the Midlands' first dedicated mountain bike trail and attracting hundreds of riders all year round. Here you will also find Go Ape Cannock and Cannock Chase Forest which often plays host to large music events, great for an evening off-site. Kids will also love the Gruffalo Trail! If you want to enjoy some al fresco cooking, BBQs are welcome onsite as long as they are raised from the ground. Please note, fire pits are not allowed. Up to two dogs are welcome per pitch too, with plenty of space onsite for them to stretch their legs.

The site is open between 24th May and 3rd June, 27th June and 1st July and between 19th July and 27th August.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Camping or Touring PitchesAug 2024

Handy location; very friendly welcome. Plenty of space for a quiet overnight stop. Didn’t need hook up but the pitches looked good along the hedge line. Walked through the woods for 10 minutes to a pub with very good food.

Lovely pop-up with the best pizzas!

Bell Tent - Standard Bell TentsAug 2024

We had an impromptu stay here for one night to break up a long journey, and wow, were we so pleasantly surprised. We hired one of their bell tents, which was so reasonably priced. The field and facilities were great, plenty of space near our tent and the shop on site had loads on offer. As we were only there for one night we had little camping equipment and the pizzas on site were such a bonus. So delicious too. The highlight was the location, so close to the forest which was just over the road. A perfect break.

Perfectly located for exploring a woodland

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Camping or Touring PitchesAug 2024

Booking the pitch was quick & easy. The contact emails with directions & site info was really useful and helpful. On arrival, I was quickly booked in with a detailed explanation of the site & facilities. I picked a spot and it was lovely. The site was quite busy but with the forecast of good weather for the weekend - who wouldn't want to be outdoors! The onsite shop, pizza oven, toilets, water & waste facilities were spot on - clean, tidy & well organised. Overall, I felt this was a gem of a site and although the pitch seemed expensive for a parking space (as my van is totally off grid), the location and setup is better than a lot of sites I've visited. Unfortunately, there will always be the odd visitor who lets themselves down. On this occasion, it was a family who left their 2 barking dogs tied up to a fence whilst they went out and when they were on site, they let their dogs roam freely, which upset other families, their children & pets. Inevitably, their unsupervised Alsatian & Staffie freely did their business all over the field where children were playing. It's a shame some people don't understand the etiquette of a campsite. I would visit again as I had a lovely & relaxed weekend.
