We were very impressed with this site. On our arrival the site owner was very friendly and helpful. We were able to choose where to park our campervan, and found a lovely little secluded alcove. We didn't use the showers, but found the toilets to be clean and well maintained.
Site's response
Thank you for this nice review. We are a small rural adults-only site set in the rolling Corvedale Hills - being adults-only, guests have a chance to relax and unwind away from the stress and strain of family life and work. We try to give guests a choice of pitches (although on a really busy weekend this is not always possible) so that they can pitch up at an angle to suit them, the gentle slope of the site, amount of shade required (if the sun puts in an appearance) and the views. Thank you again.

Well kept site, facilities clean and well kept. Perfect site to explore nearby places but car needed as no local transport nearby.
Site's response
Thank you for your kind words about the site and facilities - we do appreciate them. We are an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Shropshire Hills. We are midway between the medieval town of Ludlow and Church Stretton, with the spectacular scenery at Carding Mill Valley and Long Mynd. Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth (Cliff railway and Severn Valley railway), Ironbridge and it's 10 museums, including Blist Hill Victorian Town, are not too far either. The larger towns of Shrewsbury and Telford are an equal distance from us. We have several castles, National Trust and English Heritage properties nearby. There are miles of walking or cycling that can be accessed from the site or just down the road. Whilst Craven Arms does have a mainline train station and buses, it is a couple of miles away so without a car, you either have to walk using public footpaths and quiet country roads (we do not advocate walking on the B4368) which takes 50 to 60 minutes or avail yourself of one of the local taxi firms who are used to dropping off and picking up from the site.

This site is hidden away. there's lots of space so every tent, caravan and motor home feels private. the facilities are spotlessly clean. There's little extras provided, like shower gel and washing up liquid. The owners are friendly but unobtrusive, however they are always on hand if you need anything. A bonus is the dark skies. The stars are amazing and you just have to stick your head out of your tent to see them.
Site's response
Thank you for leaving us this great review - we do appreciate it. We are in area of low light pollution so the starry skies can be very magical - especially if you are lucky enough to see a shooting star. Brian and I are generally on hand to chat to guests if wanted about what this gorgeous area has to offer be it walks, castles, market towns, attractions, where to eat, where to buy, and if they have any issues. The site is broken up by mature tress giving elements of privacy, shade and are a haven for the birds and wildlife. Units can pitch to take account of the gentle slope of the site or the views or to face their friends or family on the next pitch if appropriate. Thank you again.

The site is exceptionally well-maintained, with everything being clean and orderly. However, the facilities were marked down due to the poor TV and internet connection. It's likely that the owners are unable to improve this due to their location.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and your nice comments about the site being well-maintained and acknowledging that we are a rural site, so could therefore experience connectivity issues due to our location. TV reception can be patchy as signal is transmitted by repeaters - if a guest is having issues we can point out that the caravan / motorhome aerial needs to be vertical and point towards a particular point in the distance but a satellite dish has to point in a totally different direction. If neither of these work we do have some external aerials that we do loan out to the pitches which can improve the number of channels available to watch. Unfortunately, due to our location we are unable to get fibre broadband and the existing WIFI is "bounced" off the hills to us and quality and speed can be affected by weather conditions and demand. Our website does state that Free WIFI is available but "during busy periods this may not be sufficient to stream films etc." This is something we are looking into but unfortunately due to our location and us being in a valley there is not a lot of choice re provider without installing an expensive system which then charges the guests for their individual use and we understand that due to our location and the hills surrounding us even these may not be truly efficient/adequate.

Greenway Touring and Glamping park is a quiet, picturesque site which didn't seem to be too overcrowded for this time of year. Facilities are clean and well stocked, only downside is they didn't have facilities for a chemical toilet, so we had to use their facilities, which wasn't too much of a hardship as they were very clean. The owners had put on a fire so everyone could sit together and chat to like-minded people, which was great fun. Would definitely visit again.
Site's response
We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our adults only site and would visit us again. The chemical disposal point (clearly marked) is at the end of the toilet block within the main rubbish and recycling area - we have two rubbish and recycling areas but only one chemical disposal point at the moment. Every now and then we do get out a firestorm and just sit and chat with anyone who chooses to join us by bringing their own chair and drink/brew. Thank you for taking the time to leave us review - it is appreciated and we look forward to seeing you both again in the future.

A lovely, adult only site. Exactly as described on website. A friendly welcome and tour on arrival and large pitches. You don't feel on top of your neighbours at all. The site is kept immaculate with the best grass we've seen on a site! Obviously well cared for. Shower bathrooms very clean and enough for the size of the site, along with separate toilets too. Kitchen area clean and tidy with items available to borrow if you forget an important pan or utensil. Freezer on site for refreezing ice blocks too. Overall a lovely, quiet site that we would recommend and can see ourselves visiting again in the future!
Site's response
We do have generous size pitches which gives guests flexibility to pitch up in a manner that suits their unit, taking the gentle slope of the site into account and to take advantage of the views provided by the beautiful rolling Corvedale Hills. The mature trees and pitch sizes provides guests with an element of privacy - we do adhere to fire safety regulations with larger than required fire breaks between pitches. Thank you for your "praise" of the grass and facilities and leaving us such a nice review - it is much appreciated. We hope to see you again in the future.

Great place to stay. Hosts very welcoming, pitch was kept lovely. Facilities great, although a couple of minor issues, such as no hand soap in some dispensers, toilet roll holder off the wall and a couple of holes in the shower room doors. Stated Wi-Fi was fast and good, yet we couldn't seem to stay connected for longer than 2 minutes and couldn't connect at our pitch! Otherwise though, we couldn't fault our stay and would definitely recommend and return.
Site's response
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and liked the site and would recommend us and return again in the future. We are sorry that you experienced issues with the soap dispensers running out - we do check them on a daily basis but it is hard to gauge how much will be needed in any toilet - we do find it helpful if guests tell us when they feel one has run out so that we change them immediately preventing this from becoming an issue for other guests. We are reviewing the mounting of the loose toilet roll holder as again, it is hard to ascertain where the ideal position is as people have different "reaches" and preferences and think we will have to go with the freestanding option that is on trial in one of the bathrooms. We assume the holes in the shower doors refer to the warping that occurs naturally in the wooden doors which vary depending on the weather and temperature, creating small gaps. Now we are aware this has caused concern, we will look into this further. We are aware that some guests have experienced issues with the free WIFI and are awaiting quotes for the installation of the new equipment that is needed to extend it's range which will hopefully solve these, although at busy times - periods of high demand / large number of guests all using it at the same time issues with connectivity may still occur. The WIFI package costs us the same whether there are 0 or 70 people using it and we are trying to come up with solutions that mean we do have to start charging for it's use. We hope to see you again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review - we do appreciate it. .

I spent nearly 3 months touring around campsites in the UK. I waited until I finished to review them all and I'm please to give Greenway the top spot. Very friendly hosts, great ethos on site, very peaceful, well maintained facilities and a lovely area for walking to top it all off. Thank you for an amazing and peaceful stay.
Site's response
Wow - a huge big thank you - we are flattered with being given the "top spot" from your travels. We are quiet and peaceful adults only site set in the beautiful, rolling Corvedale Hills. There are miles of walking and cycling in the spectacular Shropshire Hills with some walks being accessible direct from the site - others just a short drive away. We encourage guests to explore the local area and discover what Shropshire has to offer by providing literature, maps that can be borrowed, posting events and information on the area on a board and being available to chat about what is in the area based on what the guest is looking to do, or is interested in. We requests guests recycle their plastic, glass, tins, pots, cardboard and food waste and provide containers to aid with this. Thank you again for this fab review.

Perfect little site with spotless amenities. Jane and Brian made us feel very welcome. The only tiny glitch was the power supply on our grass pitch was 6 amps only, so regular trips were the norm. Excellent site in a lovely rural location. Jane and Brian were very welcoming hosts and the facilities are first class and well maintained. 6 amps supply on the grass pitches was the only small problem but other than that, we had a wonderful four nights and thoroughly enjoyed visiting Craven Arms. especially Stokesay Castle and the Discovery Centre.
Site's response
We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and found the amenities spotless and visited some of the more local attractions - the views from Stokesay Castle are spectacular and the exhibition at the Discovery Centre fascinating, especially the short film from a drone being flown over the area. The hardstanding pitches do have 10amp electric hook ups but unfortunately, due to the power supply that comes into the site, we can only provide 6amp electric hook ups to the pitches. We find that it is often the kettles that cause the electric to trip due the high wattage of some models. We do keep a small supply of low wattage kettles that we do lend out to help overcome this issue. If we are aware a guest is having issues, Brian will come out with a meter and help them get a better idea of what things use what power as they may encounter this issue on some other smaller, independent rural sites.

We are an ideal base for touring the beautiful Shropshire countryside set in the rolling Corvedale Hills midway between medieval Ludlow and Church Stretton / Long Mynd, and the larger towns of Shrewsbury and Telford. There are plenty of castles, National Trust and English Heritage properties, quaint market towns, friendly pubs and cafes to explore amongst many other gems to discover - miles of walking and cycling with spectacular scenery that forms an everchanging living landscape and is beautiful whatever the season or weather. Mainline trains and buses are a couple of miles away. Plenty to see, do and places to eat in the area. Being an adults only site we are quiet and peaceful - an ideal place to relax, unwind and recharge your batteries at the end of the day with a fire, watching darkness descend and the stars pop out. The glamping pods all have their own large chimenea / BBQ, we have small chimeneas and Firestorms and a couple of BBQs that can be borrowed by the touring pitches - Guests are welcome to bring their own but please make Brian aware that you intend using them. Thank you for leaving us such a nice review - we do appreciate it.

Thank you for your great review - it is greatly appreciated. Our mature trees help provide privacy and an element of shade for some of the pitches. A really beautiful park. We stopped 2 nights in our motorhome and were just hoping for some peace and quiet. The majority of the people staying were very quiet however unfortunately during our stay there were 2 couples staying in two of the glamping pods close to us. They had music playing rather loud and were playing games meaning we couldn't hear ourselves speak. Don't mean to sound grumpy, but it really did ruin the stay for us. If we'd have been further away, then I'm sure it would have been fine. Everything beautifully clean, beautiful scenery. Would recommend.
Site's response
We are sorry that your stay was "ruined" by a 2 couples being "noisy" however if we had been made aware of this we would have had a word with them and kept checking on noise levels. Unfortunately, when several guests notified us about this as they were leaving on the Sunday morning it was too late to speak to those concerned in person. Whilst we live next to the site and are constantly out about on site even in the evenings checking the bathrooms up until 11:15ish and noise levels if we do not hear or see anything we cannot act on it. Noise does carry at night and some guests are totally unaware how much unless it is brought to their attention. We appreciate that guests may not feel comfortable asking other guests to keep the noise down, but would appreciate that they let us know about it - so we can. Guests are made aware that we are available at the house until 9pm and after if there is an issue. Every guest may assume that someone else will report it and this is not always the case. Thank you for the kind words about the site in general and your recommendation - they are much appreciated.

Beautifully maintained adult only site, very peaceful with dog walks straight from the site. Owners very friendly and happy to help. Facilities very clean and well maintained. Great location for visiting Ludlow. Would definitely stay here again.
Site's response
Thank you very much for leaving us such a great review - especially about the facilities, we do appreciate it. Many guests do enjoy a stay in a child free environment and making for a relaxing break away from family life and work. Ludlow is approx. 9 miles away by car. Buses and trains also go to Ludlow from Craven Arms itself. St Laurence's Church with it's beautiful stained glass windows and Ludlow Castle are generally on the top of guest's must visit list and well worth a visit. Ludlow has lots of independent shops, eateries/ pubs, market some days and of course Ludlow Brewery itself. There is also a river to wander along the banks (at the base of the castle it is shallow enough for wet paws if your dog likes water and Mortimer Forest provides miles of walking. Church Stretton, Much Wenlock, Ironbridge, Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury are all great places to explore too. Thank you again for taking the time to leave us a review.

Excellent site with everything you need. Hosts were very helpful, always around if needed. Only downside is there's only one walk & dogs had to be kept on lead all the time. Thought there would be more walks from site. Very peaceful & quiet.
Site's response
Thank you for leaving us such a nice review. We would point out that there are several walks direct from the site of varying lengths that can be taken:- Small circular walk 45-50 mins depending on sniffiness of the dog(s) This can be extended to walk to Flounders Folly, Craven Arms, Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and their 30acres of meadows and walks that start and end there, Stokesay Castle and Hopesay are also popular. From Craven Arms a train can be taken to Ludlow, Hereford in one direction and Church Stretton and Shrewsbury in the other. A different route to or from Craven Arms can be taken using the public footpaths that goes over the hill opposite or through/by Norton Camp. The Apple Tree at Oinibury is also a popular stroll for dog walkers (approx. 50 minutes) Longer walks can be taken to Ludlow, Church Stretton, Clun, Wenlock Edge and walkers waking between John O Groats and Lands End often stop off here so a lot depends how far each individual person wishes to or is capable of walking. We do have maps and details of local walks that can be looked at so just ask. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead whilst on site as not all humans or other dogs like dogs. Whilst out walking dogs should be kept on a lead if the fields contain livestock but there are plenty of places dogs can go off lead. Brian and I are usually around / out and about on site to chat to or ask to look at local information etc. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review - we do appreciate it.

Thank you for your review it and your kind words are much appreciated. We are a quiet rural site approx. 2 miles from Craven Arms which has a large independent supermarket and mainline station where you can hop on a train to Ludlow, Hereford, Church Stretton and Shrewsbury or take a leisurely trip on the Heart of Wales Line. For guests wishing to walk or cycle in the area, just ask, as we have some leisure maps which avoid the main roads which have a 60 mile an hour speed limit in places and no foot or cycle paths. The local taxi firms are also used to picking up and dropping off at the site.

I've stayed here twice now for long weekends and it's a lovely clean site with friendly team members who are very helpful. The facilities are kept clean and the showers are great. Lovely walks in the area and local pub a couple of minutes walk from site. A perfect little spot. Honestly one of the best places we've stayed at. Lots of space, friendly and beautiful to boot. Great countryside around the Shropshire Hills too, so it's fantastic for walking, with stunning walks staring right from the site.

The rolling Corvedale Hills provide a stunning backdrop to the site and ever changing living landscape which is beautiful whatever time of year one visits.
