About Fortrose Bay Campsite
This is a small touring site offering a warm welcome in the Highlands. You'll be staying just 20 minutes from Inverness and 40 minutes from Loch Ness, so the best local features are in striking distance. It's a pleasant 20 minutes walk along the golf course to Chanonry Point, famous for viewing the most northern colony of bottlenose dolphins in the wild. Your nearest neighbour is the timeless village of Fortrose - a charming seaside village. Luckily the peninsula features a mild micro climate and low levels of midges - ideal for campers or those keen to check out the beach! There are close to 50 pitches on site with optional electric hook-ups. You'll even find pitches available right on the seafront, with stunning views over the water and glorious sunsets for you to take in. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join you on your holiday!

Site rules and policies
The site has a very limited number of pitches for vehicles with right-hand openings, so you may be asked to reverse into your pitch. Due to the position of the site, high westerly winds can potentially be a problem. Refunds will not be given for adverse weather conditions.
As this is a small, quiet campsite, large groups are not allowed. Families with young children should be aware that there is a quiet public road that runs through the campsite.
Dogs are very welcome if they bring responsible owners along with them.
Things to do on site and in the Fortrose area
The Black Isle is a great place to get to know wildlife of all kinds. Keep your eyes peeled and you may see whales, porpoises and all kinds of sea birds around, plus you can take wildlife spotting boat trips from the nearby villages.
Beside the tempting waters of the firth, this area includes a golf course with stunning views and a quaint lighthouse where you can often spot a colony of local bottlenose dolphins.
