A small idyllic and secure site, Waterperry Caravan and Campsite is situated close to the dreamy spires of Oxford, with easy access to the famous university town. Camping and touring is within the grounds of Common Leys Farm, a grade II listed rustic Tudor farmhouse that was once the country residence of Tommy Steele. It's a members only Caravan and Motorhome Club CL.
About Common Leys Farm Certificated Location
The site is located on the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire border edging on to Waterperry Woods and Burnwode Forest, where you feel isolated from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You would never know that you are staying only five miles' drive from the outskirts of Oxford and its incredible heritage, plus you're sleeping on the doorstep of Midsomer Murders! It is the perfect site if you just want to relax in the countryside or unwind after a busy day sightseeing the local attractions or shopping in Bicester Village. On offer are a set of grass pitches, with optional EHUs, on level grass. Groups are not permitted, nor under 18s. With only 5 pitches, a lovely small site community is created, and the site offers self-catering indoor accommodation for anyone who does not wish to camp. Pitches are open to members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club only.
Dates for the season are variable depending on weather, but usually run from mid April until mid October.

Things to do on site and in the Waterperry area
There is an on site clay pigeon shoot every second Sunday and bank holiday Monday which offers a full 100 bird sporting shoot, plus there are 1-to-1 sessions for beginners to get their feet. There is also field dog training on site on certain weekends, please feel free to contact staff for advice on how get the best for your dog.
The farm sells its own fresh produce on site and in the local village, with lots of dainty treats.
The site is surrounded by many beautiful walks across Oxfordshire whether it be in the surrounding woods and forests or on the neighbouring World War Two airfield.
If you fancy a fantastic view of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire then you can visit the beautiful village of Brill and relax by the recently restored and stunning windmill in the company of breathtaking views. Waterperry House and Gardens is only 40 minutes away.
There are many beautiful country pubs and restaurants in the villages surrounding the farm for the perfect meal. Or take a 6-mile drive into the Market town of Thame where you might even see some filming of Midsomer Murders and are sure to get a good meal.
Alternatively, you could treat yourself to the ultimate dining experience at Raymond Blanc's world famous restaurant and cookery school, Les Manoir aux Quat Saisons which is just a short drive away and something that food critics rave about.
