Despite being only 8 miles from Nottingham's bustling shopping centre, Shelford Nurseries is a green and pleasant site with the loudest noise usually being birdsong. There are many delightful local walks to keep the nature lovers happy, as well as any visiting dogs.
About Shelford Nurseries Caravan Park
Shelford Nurseries Caravan Park is a small park in the traditional farming village of Shelford, some 8 miles from Nottingham city centre. The campsite has 23 pitches in total, including 17 with hook ups and 7 hard standing. The remainder are on flat, well-drained grass. The site was originally a traditional market garden, and still has flourishing border hedges and several fruit trees. The onsite bar in in a 1940's Nissan Hut is enjoyed by both locals and campers. As well as being close to Nottingham, the site is also conveniently located for Newark (think romantic castle ruins and antique shops!) as well as Lincoln, with its majestic Minster.
The site is open March to October, weather dependent.
