Could not rate this campsite highly enough. There isn’t many campsites that have such a beautiful setting. Even though the site was full it was very quiet with clean showers and toilets. Towards the evening we had food vendors and a Adnams Truck selling local beer and ciders with a lovely canopy to sit under on chairs or hay. Campers are able to walk the grounds of Holkham during the day and after the gates shut. Holkham have arrange of activities available such as rope climbing, cycle hire and boat hire. The cafe and shops are lovely with a range of local produce. I would definitely recommend camping here and will be looking to book again for the next year.

This was a great base from which to explore the coast. Super clean facilities and friendly staff. Our only issue was that we were opposite the toilet block, so noisy with hand dryers going off until late and then the usual early risers. Perhaps consider turning hand dryers off after 10pm, otherwise a great site and would stay again!

Excellent pop up site, the beer van's daily visits was amazing. Great staff on site, showers for a pop up site were very good. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Located on the grounds of Holkham Hall, it's fantastic! I took my bycycle and lots of routes to check out on the estate and easy access into Wells-Next-The-Sea. The estate is beautiful. My only negatives is the pitch sizes. I have a 4m x 4m tent. When booking I was aware the pitch size was 9m x 9m but the tent and car were a very tight fit. No clear guidance as to which side of pitch to erect tent so my neighbours erected their tent next to mine. I'm used to sites with a 3m distance between accommodation but this wasn't happening here! I don't think the pitches were smaller than advertised, shame as it's a very large estate. Check out time on campsites.co.uk states 12pm the site was run by the caravan and motorhome club which states 10am and when I asked staff it was actually 11am! Only other niggle is the information provided when checking in. I was directed to the camping section, quickly pointed to the toilets and showers. No information provided for example about times allowed on and off site or other important information. When asked, was advised the gates for cars close strictly at 10pm. My issue is not knowing about this! Luckily I asked so was not caught out.

Beautiful site in stunning location. Very convenient for beaches but do need a car. Staff really kind, friendly and hard working. My only criticism is inadequate washing up facilities. There was only one sink for whole site (two fields) and really needed another 3. The washing up location was stunning and the long queues very friendly! Will definitely be back and will bring bikes next time. Thank you.

Holkam Estate is just absolutely beautiful. The peace and quiet is glorious and the views amazing. Although I fully understand the health and safety rules, they do impede the freedom to camp where you would like. Staff were great.

This pop up campsite was great! Holkham Estate is such a vast area of beauty with lots of wildlife. The facilities were so clean too and there was even a small bar on site! 30-40 minute walk to Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkam beach was a 10 minute drive! Very impressed. Also the volunteers on site really made us feel welcome, worked hard and gave us a good laugh! Thank you!

Excellent location for wildlife. Site quiet, friendly and helpful. Allows dogs if kept on a lead. Shower and and toilet facilities clean. The only downside was that there were no hooks in the showers, so nowhere to put dry stuff. Pop up bar available in the evenings. Would certainly visit again.

Stayed here in the September heatwave. Most evenings, there was a deep foggy mist which engulfed the site and our tents all night until late morning, this proved to be a relief with the 86 degree heatwave. The toilets and showers were adequate and mainly clean. Although, when the last minute mad rush of campers arrived at the weekend, we felt a bit claustrophobic and so decided to pack up and leave a day earlier on the Saturday. We love animals but there were too many dogs on the campsite. This became a problem for us when a night stay only camper next to us allowed their pooch to pee on the side of our tent. As we are all pitched on the ground, it would be better if the responsible dog owners took their dogs to a designated area and not all over the campsite where we are all eating sleeping and children playing. There is no electric facilities for the tents, which would have been a bit better. Some mirrors in the showers/loos would have been good too. The estate has a great café and shop and well worth visiting. Cycle hire seems a bit over the top. We were told by the people running it that there was no hire after 3pm, no bikes to be taken overnight. 1 hour, 2 hour or day hire which is 10am until 3pm, standard bike £24. If you can, take your own bikes. Site staff welcoming and more than helpful, couldn't do enough to help, thank you.

This site is fairly basic, although the facilities provided were adequate. Location is brilliant, but the biggest bug-bear was the constant 'thrumming' from the generator. Whichever part of the site you were on, there was this noise from the generator making it a not so peaceful and tranquil stay. I would have expected better considering the cost per night.
Fantastic setting, great facilities for a pop-up site.

Booked last minute as forecast so good. Grounds of Holkham Hall are extensive, peaceful and well-looked after. First experience of a pop-up site and we were very impressed with the easy booking, organisation on-site, facilities and peaceful setting. Fantastic location near to great beaches and countryside. Added bonus of a really good Norfolk Food Festival within and around the Walled Garden of the Hall. Would certainly recommend and go back another time.

Beautiful relaxing site for a sunny day. Would be improved by the local inn (The Victoria) having a bar area rather than just a restaurant. Very friendly staff!

A lovely warm welcome on arrival, very helpful staff to show us to a suitable pitch, ample amenities for both caravans and tents. Lovely idea with the central pop up shelter with giant Jenga and chairs in, clean facilities. Only small issue, which really wasn't an issue, is they lost power/lighting in the loos, which was rectified swiftly. I love the lighting at night, it made the camp feel safe, very well organised. Thank you.

Our first experience of motor homing so was not sure what to expect, it was all good!! The site was easy to find, staff helpful and friendly and facilities excellent. Will definitely be coming back next year! Fab walk from the site along the beach to Wells for a fish and chip supper, what's not to like!!

Staff were amazing from arrival. We use Holkham a lot for days out being local but was nice to have a friends and family pitch to spend the weekend with friends. The kids loved it and the facilities were kept to a high standard.

Fab place to stay, facilities where clean. Lots to do & see in the area. Facilities were good. A bit disappointing that we had to pay £5 on site for the food festival, so didn't go. Couldn't walk as my husband has knee issues, so didn't get chance to check it out as wasn't prepared to pay £5 when we'd already payed for camping on site. Other than that, great spacious location for kids, with lots to do.

We stayed for 2 nights, fairly local to us but a beautiful setting. Very well organised, facilities were clean and emptied regularly. Pitches are well marked and loads of room for awnings etc. Volunteer Marshalls are very friendly and giving of their time. Loads of activities organised (extra cost) but also food festival to dip into on hall grounds and of course the beach nearby. The deer babies were awesome to listen to in the evening. Some lovely walks with coast hopper bus available too. Booked again for later in the month. Thank you.

Lovely, one night stay in unique location. Great, friendly staff on arrival. Toilets and showers clean and no queues. Didn't make the most of the location as didn't arrive till late afternoon. Lovely walks close by.
