Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

We visited Ivy Lodge because of it's close proximity to Skegness. It was ideal because it was a lovely quiet, tranquil site. It was well kept and clean. There were however limited facilities with only two toilets and a shower for each gender, this didn't impact too much as there were around 12 caravans/campers on the site. My only criticism is there should be more shower blocks. We would visit again though.

Not for young kids

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Lovely campsite, but I am afraid it's a not kids friendly place as it's very restricted with regards to playing areas and activities for kids. I would recommend this place for couples without kids and elderly couples. Very worrying that the owner drives around on his truck, seemingly watching every move you make.

Site's response

Firstly, there have been many young children coming here over the years, some of which are now bringing their own children. You were on one of my largest pitches which allows a lot of playing room of which I have a lot of return visits from families. You also allowed a lady to stay with you who was not paid for on your booking form, along with another additional car. So, you had three cars on your pitch which obviously took up a lot of room for your children to play in. I had to ask you for payment for the lady but did not charge you for another additional car! The man in the truck is not the owner, I am, but he did along with two other guests witness your child on the fishing peg without an adult as per park rules. The man with the truck came down to stop this. You were also asked on many occasion to keep your dog on a lead as you allowed it to run around the park on its own. It is again park rules that all dogs must be kept on a lead.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Beautiful surroundings but too far out of chapel to walk and not much in surrounding village. Beautiful place but transport was terrible. Nothing much in village.

Awesome, chill site

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2024

Very beautiful setting, lovely and quiet and great fishing pond for beginners. Very helpful owner and good cleanliness of toilet/shower facilities. Also 'kitchen' with wash point and fridge/freezer available. Only grass pitches available, tricky in bad weather, and WC point doesn't have a rinse/wash down point.

Lovely maintained site

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2024

Very well maintained site. Beautiful views. Fantastic location - 5 mins to Chapel St Leonard's, 20 mins to Skegness. Only 1 male and 1 female shower, but as it's a very small site, I found I never had to queue. However, I don't shower at peak times. Overall, a good, well maintained site with adequate facilities and in a good location.

Lovely little site

Good fishing, nice quiet little site, close enough to the village for shop and pub. Will go again when the ground is firmer.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2023

Lovely site, toilets, shower and kitchen area were always clean. Fridge, freezer and clothes horse in the kitchen area to use. All the kids played together which was nice. Only downside was a couple of times dogs weren't kept on leads, no-one said anything. Great fishing.
