I stayed with my two children and dog - we had a great time. The facilities are good and the staff very helpful. The showers were hot and the general area was very clean and well managed. We hired a fire pit and had fires in the evening.

We arrived after the check in time but had received an email letting us know where we should be camped, but ended up just trying to find a quiet corner somewhere as there were no pitch markers that seemed to match the number we had been given. We ended up pitching between two fairly large groups (one around 20 people and kids, the other probably closer to 30-40 people and kids). One of the groups was fairly considerate but the larger group were still singing/playing guitar/playing music until nearly midnight, which was when a rave started! Somewhere close by was an extremely loud festival/rave/dance event that was still booming out when we left the site around 7:30am the following morning. One of the worst nights' sleep I have had camping. The facilities were on and fairly clean, but rather dated and with a good third of the toilets and showers out of action. There is a decent pub just over the river but you are taking your life in your own hands a bit if you decide to walk by the road, as there's no footpath and its poorly lit.

We stayed at Lee Valley Dobbs Weir campsite for a short break in August. The location was easy to find and really felt like a little hidden gem. The layout of the site is well done, with everything easy to find and helpfully located generally in the middle of the site. The tent pitch was large and despite it being a busy weekend, there was ample space to park next to your pitch (although please be advised, I don't believe this is guaranteed). We found there were a variety of guests staying, younger, older and families, which created a nice atmosphere. We had no issues with noise at all - yes there is a flight path and a train track close, but to be honest, unless you are used to very rural living, this will fade into the background. All staff we encountered were incredibly helpful and the reception was helpfully open 08:30 to 18:00 each day, also providing essentials in the onsite shop located in reception. I would definitely recommend hiring a firepit for your stay, as this is reasonably priced and gave us a lovely way to see out the evenings. The shower facilities were well kept, if a little tired. However, they were clean and functional - not much more you can ask for! The toilet facilities were slightly more modern and again, kept clean throughout our stay. The local pub (Fish & Eels) was absolutely fantastic and the local shops in Hoddesdon has everything you need, just over a mile away, so easily walkable or a short drive. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

A decent campsite. Perfectly fine for a one night stop off. Clean and friendly staff.
Great site, decent facilities, shame about the geese

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Facilities were good. Showers were designed for really short people and many were out of order. Loads of Canada geese roaming the pitches and they poo a lot! Playing football and just walking about was a constant slalom to avoid their mess. Boy racers seem to occupy the nearby industrial estate at night treating the place like a race circuit. A touch noisy.
Great site with excellent facilities

Shower/toilet block spotless. Heated too, which was a plus. Only 2 dog mess bins - one right at the entrance/exit and the other midway on the main road in and out. None on the touring field. Could do with at least 3 minimum around the touring field, one either end and one central.
Good value, convenient, friendly

A lovely stay at Dobbs Weir - a good, medium size site, and as it is still early in the season, was quite quiet. Shower block needs modernising, but was clean and warm so perfectly adequate. Staff were really welcoming and fixed an issue with electricity supply very quickly. The smaller toilet block only has two female toilets and both got dirty quickly, with one toilet blocked as more people arrived on site. I do wonder how they'd cope with more visitors during peak season. However, there are more toilets available so again, was perfectly adequate. The park is in the middle of an industrial estate area but once on site, you'd never know. Very relaxing, good facilities including a shop and launderette. A great pub very near by too, serving lovely food. Overall, a lovely stay and would return.

We found Lee Valley to be a great campsite, which suited our needs. The site and the amenities were all nice and clean, and obviously checked regularly.

We only live 15 minutes away and went to play with our new caravan (second hand but new to us). We both thought how very clean the facilities were. The staff we saw were very pleasant. Although such a short distance from home, we will be going back soon.

Fantastic facilities, exceptionally clean. Only downside was the geese droppings all over the tent pitches (obviously this is just nature!). I would highly recommend this site.

Really good option for when you're travelling light, I've only got a tiny car so would never have been able to fit in a tent, cooking equipment etc. The pods had everything you needed, cooking equipment, crockery, places to sit inside and out, comfy sleeping platforms and it looks nice too. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back if we're visiting that part of the country again.

Visiting London for the Bike Shed show and decided to book this site. Two of us on motorcycles booking two non-electric pitches. The wildlife leave a bit of a mess, but once cleared the tent pitch field is nice and flat and close to all amenities. The staff in reception were really helpful for transport into the city. We had a great weekend and would recommend anyone to give this site a try if visiting London!

Very easy to book and check in etc. The site was open, scenic, very quiet and in a great location. The services were pretty good, although there was no hot water in the toilets.
