Nice site, a good location for central London. There was a bus service on site to London and near to the train station. The shop on site and the showers were good. I would go again if visiting London👍

Already booked two more stays for when I'm working away from home and in the area, I have also recommended to others. It's reasonably close to the motorway and major routes, I made it into central London in about 40 minutes one evening, but it's still in a nice quiet location. I'm looking forward to returning next week.

Nice site. The only little thing is the shower blocks were not lit up enough, taking a shower nearly in the dark on the evening. Very helpful staff. Good access to London, if only the trains were running when we needed them.
Will be back

Nice little site which was clean and generally well maintained. Stayed in a cocoon with 2 single beds. Basic, but clean and felt cosy once we settled in. Was quite warm the first night but luckily, we had taken a fan as we knew weather would be good. There's a window which opens which is great but obviously that would attract all the bugs when the light was on, so we didn't open that much. Maybe a fly sheet or some big netting over the window would be an idea? There were chairs in the cocoon, which we didn't expect, so that was a bonus. The only issue we had was one of the floorboards in the porch way was pretty unstable, which meant using our own table for cooking on was a bit precarious! Also, it made it a little tricky to get round for the door. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We went for a day in London on public transport. We got a travel card from reception. Busses came directly to the site and went to the tube station so all very easy. We also went for a day at the Warner brothers Harry Potter studios which was drivable from the site in about 45 mins. The on-site shop is small and basic but plenty of shops/supermarkets a short drive away for food. Would definitely recommend.
Alright!

Ideally located for visiting London! The bus 215 is just at the entrance to the campsite. You can take the Walthamstow Central terminus, then the metro or TER equivalent to London depending on the location of the visit. At the reception, you can buy transport passes for the whole day, bus, train or metro. That was super practical and around £5.5/person. The site was very clean sanitary facilities, very helpful and pleasant staff. Just review some weak flushes. (Translated from French)

We were greeted by very helpful staff who explained everything to us. What could be better is if the start times and leaving times changed, arrival time of 3pm and leaving time at 10.30am felt like it was only half a day in total. At 04.20am in the morning, we were woken up by a black car coming onto the grounds playing very loud music. This may of been a one off, but both of us found it difficult to get back to sleep. Apart from this incident, the place is a lovey peaceful place to stay and we would come back when we plan our next time away. Thanks.
Lovely stay, thank you

Great location, excellent facilities for a motorhome. Sadly our gate number did not work and the toilet could have been cleaner.

I was pleased with the camping park. We live in London, and I thought that this was a good camping park just outside London, and we had a good time with our family and friends. Toilets and showers very clean. Plenty of space for the pitches and motorhome. I really recommend that camping for all who don't want to spend hours on the road. Thank you very much. We definitely will be back.
Perfect for what we needed

Lovely site with fantastic dog walks, although there are horses wandering around. We had a great pitch near toilet showers and shop. We had family visit from half hour away in London and went to a 50th birthday party again half hour away. The place was really easy to find. The only problem was a couple accross from us. The woman was creaming obscenities and there was children walking past. We were sitting outside enjoying the weather but after half an hour of her shouting and screaming we went inside.

Ideal for London with good transport links.
Lovely spot, but a bit water logged in the only area we could pitch our tent

Great spot with a small area for pitching tents, and then a mixture of various other static accommodation. As there were pitch numbers across most of the camp, it was a bit unclear where we should pitch our tent. Ended up using P16, as we couldn't find T16, and then had to move. Putting a large tent up twice in 3 hours in the rain wasn't fun, but once settled, we found the site to be relaxed and just what we enjoy. Fairly laid back on music and campfires, which we enjoy as we like a site that has a bit of life and soul to it. Facilities were very clean and never had to queue for showers or washing up area. Everything is really close and convenient and staff are friendly. It would be great if there was an after hours contact number. We arrived at 18:30 and pretty sure I read on their site that reception was open until 7pm in May, but perhaps I misunderstood the check-in time as reception would be open. Although there are cycle trails in the area, it's not easy to get there by bicycle with little kids directly from the camp as the grass path is very bumpy and you have to avoid the stinging nettles. Kids had a great time cycling around the camp though and really loved the play area. Lots of great local pubs which served good food, but if you're visiting over a bank holiday make sure you get your order in early as waiting times for food were well over an hour. We had a lovely little boat ride at Lee valley boat hire, thankfully the sun was shining for that part of the weekend.

The showers were problematic. Not much hot water. Two showers for the ladies and two toilets, two showers for men's and two toilets. I feel that the amenities block needs to be upgraded and needs more showers and toilets.

We loved the site, it is cozy with everything within easy walking distance, including the bus to Walthamstow Central! We were greeted with a big smile and comprehensive details of where everything was. Lovely countryside and I think perfect for families as kids would be safe and could explore. Then the frost hit and the water froze up, not just on the pitch but in all the facilities too. When my husband spoke to staff members who were walking around, he was told "oh yeah it happens". If it always happens, then why has there not been an improvement made to the insulation of the cold water stand pipes? I had to trundle across to a shower block to find no tap able to connect a hose to fill the water hog. Then when we left, the chemical toilet block was completely frozen up so not able to empty on board toilet without contents going all over us. Overall though, a fabulous site and we will be back but in the summer!
