About Barn Farm Campsite
Set a handy 15 minutes from Bakewell and 20 minutes from Matlock, this scenic farm borders Stanton Moor and is in easy reach of the River Lathkill. The views are worth travelling for, with visits from deer and badgers, plus the popular Limestone Way walking path passes nearby too, ideal for keen hikers. A dedicated camping area is available just for tents - with one field open throughout the season and other fields used at certain times. All of the grass pitches allow up to six guests in tents, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the outdoors. There are also a set of 25 pitches that are exclusively for families with the adventure park nearby, while other pitches are open to all. Level electric grass pitches are also available for caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and campervans, with waterpoints nearby. If you're bringing the tourer, you'll be treated to electric hardstanding pitches and space for an awning. Pitches can require levelling blocks, and all have great country views with up to four guests allowed. If you're travelling with a group, a spot in the camping barns will suit you perfectly. These can sleep up to 15 people and include a cooking area, cosy bunk beds, toasty heating and access to the shared facilities. For a touch of extra luxury, there are also two well equipped self-catering barns. For guests staying on bank holidays and some weekends, you'll be able to join in with family fun activities including fire work nights, pop up food vans and bars and local bands! There are even resident alpacas and peacocks to meet, a hit with the little ones. Dogs are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to two allowed per pitch. Guests can also bring along the BBQ, just please ensure it is raised off the ground. Campfires are not permitted.
The family field is open from May until the end of September and the electric grass pitches are open from May until the end of August. Other areas are open from Easter until the end of October.
