Lovely site

Have stayed several times and will do so again. Lovely site as always.

Good stopover site

We stopped over for one night on our way north up the A1, and it was ideal. We were a bit later reaching the site than expected, but full instructions were left for us at the reception area.

Peaceful, clean site with exceptional amenities

Very clean and tidy site. Well laid out pitches and very peaceful. The fishing area is well kept, close by but far enough away from pitches if not interested in fishing. Dog walks and an area provided for off lead exercise. Exceptional standards for showers and toilets. Laundry area very handy. Will definitely return.

Friendly, welcoming and relaxing.

Lovely, clean and well maintained site

We stayed for 2 nights on a serviced grass pitch in 'The Paddock'. The booking in procedure was quick, easy and friendly, before we set up on a good sized and well maintained grass pitch. The van was sitting on AstroTurf, which would ensure a stable pitch in wetter weather. The whole site is well maintained and the toilet blocks were clean and well looked after. There were several fishing lakes so would certainly appeal to anglers. If we visit the area again in the future, we would certainly be happy to stay again.

Quiet lovely walks

Great park, lovely toilets, lakes pleasant to walk around, place is spotless. The cafe looked nice though didn't use it. Friendly staff, though late, were helpful. Nice pitch. Only one tiny thing. The shop is more orientated to the anglers, we went in for beers, had minimal selection, But would we come back, yes indeed.

Beautiful site with great facilities

Is a really nice site, the location is in a beautiful part of the country. The site itself is split into 4 areas. All of them are nice big pitches, with the option to pitch whatever way round you want. Great for the ones overlooking the lake, which will be us next time. The showers are spacious, and were always clean and tidy. Plenty of walking areas around the 3 lakes and through a woody bit, only drawback would be a lack of dog poo bins. A few more could only be of benefit to everyone. Pitches are very big, so make sure you have long enough cables and water hook up equipment.

Perfect!

On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely, smiley & chatty lady who directed us to our spot with a clearly detailed map. Very clean showers & toilets. We ate at the cafe and it was fantastic & cheap for a little establishment and some home cooking!

Great peaceful place with clean facilities

A lovely peaceful setting with great showers and toilets. The site was well-maintained and the staff were very friendly. We didn't use the fishing lakes but they were all beautifully laid out. The site was the best we stayed on during our short journey.

Pleasant stay at Fields End Water

We had a very pleasant stay. Clean, good facilities and nice quiet nights. One small critical comment: the many little rules had a forbidding tone.

Thank you for your review. If you are 1 of the 90% who know and abide by the general etiquette of a campsite, you need not worry. The rules (that all parks have) are there for the 10% that try do what they want, and say "well no one told me". Sorry, but we are just trying to cover our back.

Overnight stay

The site was spotless and the pitch we had was well supported by electric, water and waste. The only downside was a lack of view as the pitches were surrounded by a large hedge,so you could only see other caravans or motorhomes, but this is only a personal preference.

Ok site

Reception was warm, site layout was nice with lovely walks around the grounds. Unfortunately our pitch wasn't the nicest on the site, it was between the facilities and cess tanks so it was a little bit smelly. Facilities were fine, clean and plentiful, although I had higher expectations.

Thanks for your review, I am sorry if you didn't like your pitch, a lot of people like to be close to the facilities (which don't smell). From time to time, sewage treatment plants can pick up a smell, as soon as this happens, we deal with it immediately.

Lovely friendly site for those who love fishing. Lovely dog walks around site. Off lead dog area a real bonus. Very dog friendly. Friendly staff. Small shop with limited stock. Need to be organised with chilled goods like meat and fish as they have none. Our motorhome has limited fridge space for a week. Really enjoyed our stay there. And hope to return with friends who love fishing.

Our stay at Fields End Water

We enjoyed our stay at Fields End Water, and will return. We used the stay to visit relatives and to visit Ely, in particular the Cathedral.

Peaceful location

We really enjoyed our stay here, really felt that we got away from the rat race. Peaceful setting in farmland, no traffic sounds. Handy site shop and a lovely small café on a lakeside. Good flat grass pitch with half astro turf.

Very nice site

Lovely camp site, very clean and quiet. Would definitely come again. Don't rely on local transport as it was very hit and miss and village pubs don't do food.
