About the site
This is a quiet, adult-only family-run camping and touring site, located in scenic countryside. Cardinney is five miles west of Penzance and 5 miles east of Land's End. It's set back off the main A30 trunk road and accessed via a private lane. Just under five acres, the park has been thoughtfully landscaped with trees, flowerbeds and shrubs. There is one field, providing individually marked spacious, well-cut grass pitches with hedges giving shelter and privacy. For touring, choose a range of spacious serviced grass pitches of 64sq metres on average, all individually marked out, 50 with a 10-Amp hook-up point and individual water tap. If you fancy glamping there is a bell tent with a king size bed, fairy lights and a foldable table and chairs. There is an enclosed dog exercise area, so even your four-legged friends can have a great time. A selection of hardstanding serviced pitches are available too.

An amazing campsite for a stay in Cornwall. The site was close to lots of things to do and clean facilities with friendly staff. Especially loved Brian the cat 😊

The site is very clean as are all of the facilities. Also, the pitches are large. All of the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the fact that the fully serviced pitch we were given was not one I was expecting and was not level. After travelling for nearly 8 hours and then having to put up the awning before resting, I was not in the best of tempers. Also the Wi-Fi was almost non existent, although I was told that they were upgraded by a different supplier. Perhaps these are teething problems that need to be fixed. Also, the television reception was poor. We went to charity shops and bought DVD's, as did some of the others I spoke to. The following morning, I saw the groundsman, whose name I think was Kevin, and he lent me a car jack to jack up the caravan. This made it perfect. Although I was annoyed at first, I have to say, the pitch we were given turned out to be excellent. We were there for two weeks. The first week was really hot but it rained almost constantly the following week and I was afraid the ground would be so water logged we wouldn't be able to get off but I needn't have worried because there was no problem at all. I also proved to myself that you do not need Wi-Fi or a television to exist.

I didn't want to review it before I'd had a chance of rebooking for 2025, so now I've rebooked, here goes. I loved it ! I loved the peace and quiet, the dogs enjoyed the little park, although not sure that it is totally secure (however I could be wrong), with a dog that would escape from Colditz. So yes, we've rebooked for 2025 and will enjoy every quite, peaceful minute.
