A note from the site themselves...

Welcome to our campsite, located just a stone's throw away from Barmouth's beautiful beach and town. We aim to provide a safe environment for families to enjoy a relaxing getaway away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We are proud to have cycle route eight right on our doorstep, which provides our guests with easy access to Dolgellau via the stunning Mawddach Trail. From there, you can venture on to the famous Coed y Brenin, which offers a variety of off-road cycle routes.

For those who prefer walking, the Mawddach Trail is a great option. The Ardydwy Trail also provides breathtaking views of the Rhinog's, Cader Idris, and Cardigan Bay.

We cannot wait to welcome you to our site and hope that you fall in love with the area as much as we have, Phil

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding with Grass Touring PitchesNov 2024

Had a lovely 3 night stay, 5 minute walk to the beach, 20 minutes to town centre. Staff very friendly, will definitely be coming back. Best cakes ever from bakery next to Dolphin Chippy. Chippy does a huge cod portion. Lots to see and do in the area. Site is well looked after, very clean and tidy.

Impressed, friendly

The site is on the Wales Coast Path and Cycle Route 8, so an excellent spot to take on walking and cycling challenges. Particularly tempting spots include the three hour walking route to Dolgellau on the old railway line via the Mawddach Trail or the more challenging climbs such as Cadair Idris (30 minutes), and many lesser trodden trails among wooded glades and sandy beaches.

Additionally, the Ardydwy Trail offers breathtaking views of the Rhinog's, Cader Idris, and Cardigan Bay.

Pedestrians can take a 25 minute walk from the site directly onto Barmouth Promenade and can spend time getting to know Barmouth, which is full of dog-friendly establishments and of course a fabulous stretch of beach with an amusement park, donkey rides and trampolines. A small land train travels up and down the promenade, which kids often love.

In Barmouth there are also free-to-use tennis courts and a bowling club that is great for families. Snowdonia National Park is also just a five minute drive away, great for exploring the outdoors.

Other nearby attractions include:

  • Corris Mine Explorers (35 minutes)
  • Dolgoch Waterfall (45 minutes)
  • Criccieth Castle (45 minutes)
  • Tywyn Wharf Railway Station (50 minutes)
  • Fairbourne Railway (55 minutes)
