Just a short walk from Portree and handy for all the Isle of Skye's attractions, Portree Campsite is a great base on the east side of the isle. There are both grass and hardstanding pitches to choose from, plus electric hook ups and well kept facilities, all set against the backdrop of stunning views. It's just a short ride north to the remotest parts of the isle and the start of more adventures on the Isles of Lewis and Harris.

About Portree Campsite
Set over three acres of land and offering stunning views of the Cuillin Mountain Range, Portree Campsite is the perfect base for exploring all the Isle Of Skye has to offer. Caravans, campervans, motorhomes and tents are all welcome here and the site is well maintained with organised pitches, including both grass and electric hardstanding options. You'll be in walking distance of Portree itself, with access to excellent amenities including a range of cafes, restaurants, a swimming pool and supermarkets. Well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead at all times on site. BBQs are allowed, provided that they are raised off the ground. Sorry, no campfires.

40 x Non Electric Grass Pitches
Grass pitches without electric that can accommodate tents up to a size of 7m by 4.5m. Some of these pitches are on uneven ground and strong tents and pegs are recommended, due to the site being 80m above sea level.
40 x Electric Hardstanding Pitches
Hardstanding pitches suitable for motorhomes, caravans and campervans with 16 amp EHUs. There is space for a small porch awning, but it will be on hardstanding so appropriate pegs should be used.

Site rules and policies
*Check in is between 1pm and 7.30pm.
*Pitches must be vacated by 11am on day of departure.
*All campers are asked to keep noise to a minimum after 11pm.
*Dogs must be kept on a lead on site.
*Groups of up to six adults are accepted but must contact the campsite for permission before making a booking.
*Groups of seven or more adults are not accepted.
Things to do on site and in the Isle Of Skye area
This is one part of the UK where the island, and its own stunning landscape take centre stage. The Isle of Skye is renowned for its spectacular scenery and here you're perfectly placed to take in the breathtaking views of the Cuillin mountains.
The village of Portree is only a short walk from the site and is situated on a beautiful bay and surrounded by great walks and hikes, with views to beat any other. Portree is also home to a range of cafes, restaurants, a cinema, a swimming pool, gift and book shops, a tourist information centre and supermarkets.
Climbing the Old Man of Storr is a rite of passage for any traveller, and afterwards you can reward yourself with a dip in the island's shimmering fairy pools.
In fact, Skye has all the outdoor adventures you could want for, from kayaking to boating, climbing, loch fishing and pony trekking. And on days when you fancy something more tranquil, roam the romance of Dunvegan Castle or take a dip at Coral Beach.
It's also a great destination for wildlife spotting here, with the white tailed eagle at the top of many bird watchers lists. Other wildlife to see include otters, seals, whales, dolphins and red deer, plus many more!
