Two miles north of Tain, just off the A9, Dornoch Firth Caravan Park is ideal for exploring the Highlands at any time of year. This is a peaceful, family and dog friendly park offering all the beauty of the Scottish Highlands to visitors. The park enjoys expansive views of the beautiful Dornoch Firth which has become a popular holiday destination for many people over the years. The area offers a wealth of family attractions, fascinating heritage and spectacular walks that you cannot beat! The site has won awards for its facilities and overall standards and is perfectly located on the North Coast 500 route. Dornoch Firth Caravan Park is easily accessible, just off the A9 only 45 minutes north of Inverness. It's a great base for day trips and excursions, being two miles from Tain, Scotland's oldest Royal Burgh, and home to good shopping areas as well as a number of cafes and restaurants. The quaint cathedral town of Dornoch with a variety of specialist shops and superb beaches is just ten minutes away! On offer are fully serviced pitches for touring caravans or motor homes which include EHU. There is a secluded area for tents, too, which can also benefit from electric hook up. For those looking to enjoy longer stays, there are a range of holiday new and used lodges and caravans for sale.
The park is open all year round (weather-permitting) but please note pre-booking is required during the winter months (31 October - 1 April).

Arrival times are between 2pm and 7pm (summer).
Quiet time between 11pm and 8am.
Things to do on site and in the Tain area
On site there is a children's outdoor playground with a slide, swings, twizzler etc. and you'll find restaurants and shops nearby so you can spend your holiday tasting some great new flavours.
Glenmorangie Distillery is very close and has fascinating tours, all finishing with a few new tastes too and a lot of interesting info. In the season, Tain's own museum is open and nearby, too, is Skibo Castle which is a golfing haven and has sessions for non-residents to play on weekdays in the summer months.
The park is ideally suited to any explorers keen to walk, cycle or drive the North Coast 500. Or if you'd rather stay a little closer, try walks in the gorgeous Highland surrounds, such as in Camore Wood, on the other side of the firth and local green spots.
If you need a city day out, Inverness is only 45 minutes away and has countless things to see and do even if it's raining, such as Inverness Cathedral, Bauly Priory and the Ness Islands Railway.
