Ullswater Holiday Park has easy access to a lakeside harbour (great for those who've brought a boat) and looks out over the gorgeous fells. It's a family friendly walkers' paradise, with excellent facilities and a set of cosy camping cabin pods, in case you'd rather travel light.

About Ullswater Holiday Park

The holiday park extends over 12 acres and is just 20 minutes from Penrith. Ullswater's 150 pitches for tents and tourers include electric all weather pitches and fully serviced touring pitches which are level and based on gravel. Many pitches can be used to access Freeview etc but depending upon the location you'll usually need to bring a cable and perhaps a satellite box. Alternatively, there are also eight self-catering cottages set in a converted farmhouse and other accommodation at the park. Whether you are planning a relaxing holiday or an adventure packed one, the park is the perfect base to do so. Situated just one mile up from the lake, the park is an ideal place to bring the children and their inflatables for a fun-filled holiday on the Lake. Or if you prefer hiking and walking, the Ullswater way goes straight through the middle of the park meaning you can easily walk to Aira Force or Pooley Bridge. The park backs onto the fells, with Little Mell Fell and Great Mell Fell behind and the High Street Ridge and Howtown across the lake. These fells offer walkers plenty of choice, from strenuous climbs to lakeside rambles, and Wainwright's Northern and Eastern Fells are just a short drive away. There are also plenty of facilities locally for adventures such as horse riding, GPS navigation training and quad bike trekking as well as gentler pursuits like golf, tennis and bowls. Family owned Lake District accommodation since 1958.

Open from 1 March to 14 November
