What a amazing site, we would have loved to stay longer. It is the best site we have ever been on. Lovely locations, friendly and helpful people on site, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back next year too look for badgers 😁 Thanks again for an amazing stay and the best way to finish our summer holidays.

Can't rate this wee site highly enough, great location and a pub with good food nearby. Facilities second to none, quite simply the best. The cleanest and most tasteful toilet block I have ever seen on a campsite. A car is needed to get out and about to the nearby towns but coming back to the peace of this wee campsite is just wonderful. The owners were on site and were very helpful. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

We love it here! We have had numerous stays now and can't wait to revisit this year. We have stayed on our own, with friends and family, and everyone loves it. The facilities are excellent and clean, there's fantastic walks, a pub very close to walk to which does food. We also take our paddle board, as you can access the river that runs along the site and we also drive to the nearby loch for great paddle boarding.

Thank you so much Nicola. We love having you and glad you love our little slice of heaven!

Can't fault the place! Staff and owners friendly and helpful. Toilets, showers, washer, dryer and microwave are all modern and kept immaculate. Dog walking field and riverside walk with Hawick nearby for shopping. Jedburgh is definitely worth visiting to have a picnic by the river. Stayed with wife and dogs. Can't wait to go back.

Doesn't get better than this!

This is a new campsite - well actually, after talking to the campsite owners, it was one for several decades and then closed about 25 years ago and left to nature! They bought and completely rebuilt it about 3 or 4 years ago. The toilet and shower block looks brand new, with fixtures and fittings not out of place in a high end hotel! There's even free washing machine and clothes dryer for campers to use. They have documented their self build of the building, which was clearly derelict before doing the work to it. Incredible job and one of the best on any campsite I've seen in over 20 years camping. They are campers themselves (it shows) so the place seems to attract "real" campers and quite a few from Europe as well. By that, I mean they are all respectful and there's a nice camaraderie around the campsite, with people sharing tips and experiences with one another, which is quite cool. Not only that, but there's a really big mix of types of caravan, tourers, tents, tipis, trailer tents, roof tents, 4x4s, campervans, motorhomes - you name it. You are guaranteed to bump into someone interesting. Very picturesque with a river running through it (we chose a riverside pitch) that people were using kayaks and paddleboards on. There were kids with their mums and dads paddling in the river, which didn't seem deep (we didn't go in). There is a pub next door with food on offer but we never ate there but other campers said it was good. The locals (small village) are very friendly and helpful, as you might expect in Scotland, and keen to offer advice on places of interest to visit. Basically, it is a cracking site that we will definitely return to and would highly recommend to other serious campers. Top tip - it is quiet remote so make sure you have enough supplies with you before you have to venture out to the nearest shop, which is a good ten minutes drive away.

Great little site

Great site and the nearby pub was a bonus, affordable and had good food. Booking in was a pleasure and they accommodated us with 2 sites next to each other as we were traveling with friends. The amenities were spotless and ample for the time we spent there. Would recommend this to anyone.

Spotlessly clean and friendly site with lovely finishing touches. We visited with our granddaughter and 2 Yorkshire terriers and our daughter then came to join us. The facilities are clean all the times, despite it being busy, and decorated nicely - loved the toilet seats, haha! We contacted the owner to enquire about them and now have them at home! The kitchen is great with the microwave and use of the washing machine and dryer. The pitches are well laid out and the grounds are well maintained - they will only improve as the plants & hedges grow. We enjoyed local walks and Bonchester Hill. The pub next door is great too - enjoyed drinks & Sunday lunch.

This is the first time at this campsite and we loved it. The owner is very nice and welcoming and on hand with any questions you have. There is also a warden onsite who is also just as nice and helpful. The facilities are amazing, very clean and well maintained. I would say one of the best campsites I have stayed at for a long time, will definitely be back 😍
