Rockingham Cerficated Location is a members only Caravan and Motorhome Club site just off the B670 with stunning views overlooking the Rockingham Valley, located just 5 minutes on foot outside the villages of Cottingham and Middleton. There are lovely market towns close by, including Uppingham, Market Harborough and Oakham. A cosy pub by the site serves up great food and drink. The village of Cottingham is also just a ten minute walk away.

About the site


Just a ten minute walk from the quaint village of Cottingham and in the heart of the beautiful Welland Valley, this peaceful family friendly site is a great stopover location. The views all around are spectacular and caravans and motorhomes are welcomed with generously sized hardstanding pitches. These pitches have access to electric hook up, WiFi and space for a car and awning! The site is easy to access with great links to the A14, M1 and M6.

On site there is a toilet and shower block. All pitches benefit from free Wi-Fi and a coded entry gate and CCTV are in place for security. Fire pit hire is available and there is a dog exercise area too.

The village of Cottingham is approximately a ten minute walk away with a little shop and cafe, while the second turn on the left will lead you to a local pub.

*Check-in is from 12:30pm on the day of arrival until 12pm on the day of departure.

*Please take a minute to check the site rules located on the fence of the amenities area they are in place to ensure everyone's enjoyment and safety. Please do not feed the horses they may kick or bite. The fences to the paddocks are electrified, do not lean over to pet the horses.

*Dogs are kept on a lead unless they are in the ball games area where they are free to roam and please pick up after them and dispose of it in a bin.

*When out and about please be respectful of the beautiful countryside and wildlife by disposing of rubbish in bins or bring back to the site with you.


Rockingham Castle is situated approximately a mile and a half from the site. The gardens and castle are open to the public throughout the year, plus there are many medieval and historic special events held there.

East Carlton Park is situated approximately 10 minutes in a car from the site, or a 20 minute walk through the villages of Cottingham and Middleton. It is a public park that is great for dog walking and giving your pooch some exercise. It is open all year with woodland walks and a cafe. Its three nature trails are a great place to stretch your legs.

Regarded by many as the finest Elizabethan House in England. Burghley House was built in the 16th century by William Cecil, the first Lord Burghley. This stunning house with extensive grounds is open March to October, an ideal day trip in the season, just 20 minutes from the site.

Gander's farm next door to the site offers goat walk experiences and sells goat milk ice-cream and soaps from the farm gate.

Rutland Water is one of the largest man made reservoirs in Europe. Activities include sailing, approximately 26 miles of cycle trails, fishing and birdwatching, pleasure cruises on the Rutland Belle, it is open all year.
