About Greendale Farm Caravan and Camping
A great place to visit if you enjoy walking, cycling and bird watching. Rutland Water is just under a 20 minute drive from Greendale, you can even cycle there from the site. Here you will find nature reserves (including the breeding Osprey project) water sports, fishing, sailing, bike-hire, refreshments and miles of traffic free pathways to cycle or walk. The campsite has previously achieved the David Bellamy Conservation Gold Award as a result of its respect to the environment and encouraging birds and wildlife. At least 80 different species of birds have been spotted at Greendale, so it's a fantastic natural haven. On offer are lovely hardstanding electric pitches to suit tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes, as well as one grass electric pitch. As this is a small site, they can only accept a limited number of larger units. The campsite owners live on site and are on hand to give assistance when necessary. Otherwise they will leave you to enjoy the peaceful, well maintained environment, and listen to the sounds of nature. Dogs are welcome.
The site is open all year, with a reduced number of pitches in winter.
