About Wigwam Holidays Hafren
Whether you want to unwind completely or feel adventurous, this attractive glampsite on a working farm makes an ideal base. Forget the city, and try a rural retreat without giving up any of your creature comforts. Stay in one of six ensuite Wigwam pods or in one of the ensuite accessible lodges, which all have heating and the luxury of an ensuite shower room, kitchenettes, smart TV, free WiFi, fire pits and hot tubs too! The Wigwams have a kitchenette featuring a fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster, hot plates, cutlery a table with a set of chairs and a TV for when you want to relax. Outside, there's a private decking area with a fire pit for each pod, and four of them even have the luxury of private hot tubs. Dog friendly options are available, and groups are welcome.
Wigwam Holidays Hafren is open all year round.
All glamping units have their own ensuite toilet and shower facilities. There is free WiFi on site.

We were really happy with everything but just a few things I wanted to pass on was the saucepans and frying pan were really burnt so everything I cooked in them then tasted burnt and there was no scoured to clean them. We bought some and maybe just could have done with another bin bag. The shower was just not usable as either too cold or scalding hot just couldn't get it right. Overall we had the most lovely few nights, used the hot tub and the BBQ, really was lovely 😍

The surrounding was divine but a bit let down by the piles of rubbish left just as we drove in the camp. The pod had a smell to it which we couldn't quite get used to. The hot tub needed wood to heat up and we heated it up from 3:00 to 9.00, was still very cold and couldn't use it, so unless you are spending the whole day in the camp you, can't go in it. The shower temperature, we couldn't adjust, much as we tried. It would go from cold to boiling hot water, very temperamental. So we didn't shower for 2 nights and we decided not to stay the 3rd night, we just left. I can say the kitchenette is well equipped and having the fire pit for ourselves was great. The people owning the place seemed very friendly and came to say hello when we arrived on our first day.

I'm sorry to hear the review. It would have been useful to discuss these points while you were on site. With regards to the rubbish, it is a problem at the moment as the Local Authority are not collecting as scheduled and we've been in several discussions with them about this. I could not see what the smell issue was. I had a family that stayed in the Pod after you stayed after and no comments were received about a smell. If customers have any issues, we provide a contact number for them to call or text, possibly that should have been done with regards to the hot tub. Thank you.

Things to do on site and in the Llanbrynmair area
Looking for enticing places to cycle? This is one of the best spots for a ride and bikes can be hired on site.
And if you'd rather not be on two wheels, a fantastic guided walk can be arranged, taking in local beauty spots. It's not all about staying on dry land, though, Clywedog Lake is fantastic for kayaking, raft building, paddle boarding and sailing!
The lake is one of the top three trout fly fishing lakes in the UK, so a great place for fishing fans.
Thanks to very limited light pollution, this is one of the best areas in Wales to spot Jupiter and the Milky Way with the naked eye. You'll definitely want to do some stargazing in this Dark Sky area.
Snowdonia is only about twenty miles away where you'll enjoy a great variety of activities such as thrilling Zip World and plenty of walking and rafting opportunities.
Have a chortle at the Machynlleth Comedy weekend, taste the high life at local food festivals and make some time for the Royal Welsh Show. The quirkiest event of all, and one for your bucketlist is the World Bog Snorkelling Championships held at Llanwrtyd Wells every August!
