About Acorns Luxury Glamping Pods
Located in the quiet hamlet of Dolphin, within easy reach of the A55 expressway and just a mile from Holywell town, Acorns is an adult-only glamping site with just four well-spaced and individually named and themed pods. Warm and cosy, with gas central heating for the cooler months, each pod sleeps two and has a comfy double bed, lounge area with leather sofa, dining table and chairs and Freeview TV, well equipped kitchenette with combination microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge, and an ensuite shower room with sink and WC. Outside is your own private enclosed decking area, with a table and chairs to enjoy the stunning views and an electric hot tub, ready and waiting at 40 degrees for your arrival. You'll also have access to gas griddles, which are great for outdoor cooking and also offer a flat surface in case you choose to bring a disposable BBQ with you and pop it on top. All crockery, glasses, utensils and cutlery are provided, along with towels and slippers. A welcome pack provides tea, coffee, milk, sugar and washing up liquid. No dogs, sorry. Please be assured that both the pod and hot tub will be fully sanitized before your arrival.
Acorns Luxury Glamping Pods is open all year round in 2024 and 2025.
All accommodation is ensuite. Secure storage is available for bicycles. Please note there is no WiFi onsite.
The site is a two minute walk from the 16th Century Glan-yr-Afron Inn which serves good food and has free WiFi. There's a shop and garage within half a mile and Holywell town is a mile away, offering a good range of supermarkets, shops and takeaway restaurants.

My partner and I had a lovely break. The accommodation was superb, clean and perfect for a quick break. The hot tub was great, the griddle provided a great way to cook al fresco breakfast and dinner. The area is great with lots of beaches and other sights within easy reach. Highly recommended.

Lovely peaceful adult only site, small hot tub and comfy bed. Cooking facilities and tea, coffee and proper milk provided! Food packages are available and although we didn't have one, our friends did and said its was brilliant, we would definitely stay there again.

Things to do on site and in the Holywell area
The many resort towns and beaches on the stunning North Wales Coast are within a short drive. Talacre (7 miles) is the nearest beach, with sand dunes, an RSPB Nature reserve and iconic lighthouse.
Walkers and cyclists should head towards Halkyn Mountain with panoramic views of the coast and mountains - or, of course, the Wales Coastal Path or Offas Dyke Path.
The walled city of Chester with its famous zoo and race course is within a half hour's drive, while Snowdonia National Park is within an hour's drive and offers numerous activities and attractions, including Surf Snowdonia, the Welsh Mountain Zoo and several zip wires. The Isle of Anglesea is a similar distance.
More locally, Holywell town has a leisure centre with a swimming pool, gym, courts, library and cafe.
