Meon Springs offers Mongolian yurts and traditional shepherd's huts - outdoor living with the luxury of indoor comforts.

About Meon Springs

A hidden glamping gem in the heart of the South Downs National Park, this glampsite offers just six yurts and six shepherd's huts in the cradle of the Meon Valley. The yurts are tucked among trees overlooking Hen Wood and are perfect for families and friends. There's plenty of space to run around or simply chill-out and enjoy the wonders of the countryside. Each yurt sleeps up to six people - four in beds, with a further two on futons or bed rolls. The yurts have wood burning stoves, electric lights and power points for your creature comforts. Toilets and washbasins are within 100 yards of each yurt. The snug shepherd's huts are situated alongside Whitewool Lake, purpose-made for couples, anglers and individuals looking for their own peace and quiet. They are fully-fitted with their own loos, showers and kitchenette - perfect for a weekend break or a longer getaway. Guests often say that Meon Springs is a breath of fresh air!

The shepherd's huts are available all year round, while the yurts are available from March to mid November.

Arrivals are from 3pm. Please vacate the yurt village by 10am on the day of your departure.

Once you've settled in, there's loads to do at Meon Springs and in the local area. You're free to walk around the farm, see the calves and watch the cows being milked each day. You can go fishing at the fly fishery or if you'd like to try something a little louder, you can have a go at clay shooting with fully-trained instructors.

If you want to explore the local area on foot then there are plenty of footpaths around including the South Downs Way which runs right through the farm. And if you want to be a bit more energetic you can always hire a bike - or bring your own - and explore the lanes that link the many villages and hamlets in the area.

And it goes without saying, there are plenty of pubs to visit with great local food and ales.

Further afield, you can visit historic Portsmouth and the world famous dockyard, Jane Austen's house at Chawton, Marwell Zoo, the cathedrals at Winchester and Chichester, or the beaches at West Wittering and Hayling Island.

Then again, you could just sit back, relax and breathe in the clear Hampshire air.
