Derwent View is a glamping site based on the south shore of the Derwent Reservoir, with fully heated pods and superb views which capture you the moment you enter the site. Here you'll find an on-site cafe, bar and lounge area where you can relax, along with private hot tubs to rent. From walking to cycling, fishing and sailing, there is also plenty to do in the area.

About Derwent View

Derwent Reservoir is set in a beautiful Pennine valley, on the border between Northumberland and Durham, and bounded by moorland and conifers. As it is 3.5 miles long, the reservoir offers a thousand acres of beautiful clean and open water, devoted entirely to windsurfing and sailing. The Derwent View site is situated opposite the sailing club on the south shore and consists of eight beautifully hand crafted wooden glamping pods. Each pod is built to the highest standards, with lockable doors and windows, and has been specially positioned to have a perfect view overlooking the reservoir. All pods include fold out beds, folding table and chairs, a fridge, toaster and kettle. They have lighting, electrical sockets and a decking area outside with your own fire pit. Larger pods also include a microwave, outside tap and TV/DVD. The vintage-styled Shabby Sheep pod can be booked with a hot tub, and family pod, Decs Den, also has a hot tub. The site is wheelchair user friendly.

Open from 1 February to 2 January
