The Mount Pleasant Eco Park campsite near Porthtowan offers a beautiful, eco place to stay. As well as space for tents and campervans, there is stylish hand-crafted glamping in shepherd's huts and cosy eco pods. All this is in a laid-back site by the Cornish coast with its beaches and surfing. Perched above the coastline with stunning views to soak in the infamous north coast Cornish sunsets.

Absolutely loved this site. People very friendly, from manager helping us with the electricity hook up not working to the staff in the lovely vegan cafe to the residential staff. Vegan cafe served delicious food, and especially delicious are the cinnamon buns! Short walk to Porthtowan then onto the coastal path - what's not to like? 😊

Great venue. With mixed weather myself and my daughter enjoyed the food from the canteen and also the Ceilidh and the Sunday Market. Superb vegan food.

Great location. We were in the wild camping area and was quiet and view not far away. The music evenings were great and food fresh. The layout of the bar and café was well thought out. However, there are not enough toilets showers and dish washing facilities and on two of our mornings, there was either no running water or it was cold. We weren't greeted on arrival but didn't really bother us. We would however visit again, allowing for these things!

We loved staying here! Wonderful views, helpful staff and peace and quiet. A genuinely eco-friendly, ethical venue. The café and communal areas are excellent and the food was delicious. We liked the compost toilets and solar showers (lovely hot shower). The washroom had everything we needed and the ethos of the whole place can't be faulted.

Stayed here for 2 nights during half-term. Great campsite, good toilets and hot showers. Would say you need a car to get around, it is possible to walk to Porthtowan beach but the path is tricky. Canteen on site is a massive bonus. Overall great value for money, would stay again!

Beyond accommodating for us last-minute Aussies caught out in the UK rain. Completely above and beyond customer service. Wish we had more time to explore and enjoy the incredible facilities/group areas. Showers and toilets were spotless and earth-conscious as a bonus.

We had a really lovely stay in the Shepherd's hut. The hut was spotlessly clean and was in a fabulous location. We will definitely be returning.

Absolutely loved this site. The vibe was chilled out, the people it attracts were the same. We stayed for 3 days and loved every minute, nice dark skies for stargazing, great little paths to walk around with the kids. Amazing food put on and a cool bar with entertainment on. Will be back again one day!

Booked this place for an off-grid adventure for me and the puppy while I had some free time and my partner couldn't get off work. The eco pod was incredible, providing everything we needed for the nights we were there with the most beautiful view of the sea (and sunset). The site is stunning, well kept and really has a great vibe to it. Location wise, it's great being just minutes in the car away from Porthtowan. Coastal walks, relaxing mornings reading a book, on-site relaxed entertainment. It was perfect. Will be returning, next time with my partner too!
Great site, lovely views and near Porthtowan beach

Great site with lovely views of the sea and local wheal from our pitch. Short walk to the beach (uphill on the way back). Great bar & semi-indoor area with Wi-Fi.

We came back to Mount Pleasant for a second year but this time extended our stay in Beacon Hut (last year we mostly camped). It was absolutely the lovely. The hut is in a beautiful location with unbeatable views of the sea (and sunsets if you get lucky!). The site itself is great with good facilities and a really nice bar that has food from their vegan canteen and food trucks. Look out for Sundays - the bar is closed and no food generally available in the evening! But all in all, highly recommend a stay at the Eco Park!

A great set up that ticked all our boxes! Great to have both compost toilets and normal. Incredibly well-maintained site, really well-thought-out layout. Lovely community feel and ethos behind it. Great to have the option of onsite food and events, but also have some great places within walking distance. Really friendly staff. Will happily go back and stay again!

Fantastic value campsite, plenty of space, facilities clean and showers nice and hot and never had to queue! (I guess the wet weather played a part there). Definitely will be returning in hopefully weather more akin to summer!

Our first camping trip in our VW camper with tent, great place for the first venture. Only down side was the steep walkway to the town for fish and chips, but this is Cornwall. If there was another non road path we would rate this 5 star. No one to greet us on arrival which was a little disappointing.
Loved it here!

Had an amazing five night stay in the Eco Pod looking over a meadow to the coast. Warm, comfortable, with a little fenced garden, I really didn't want to leave. The organisers were kind and friendly (accommodating my freezer packs in the bar fridge when the camp fridge was full), there were lots of water taps, good showers and very clean loos. An easy walk to the beach and the village of Porthawen made for a good variety of experiences and the sunsets were spectacular. Hope to return!

Loved it! We had a lovely view of the beach and sunset and there were big tent pitches. You can rent a fire pit and wood there too. The walk to the beach and village is only 20 mins but really steep!
