Things to do on site and in the Borth area
A short drive takes you to the university town of Aberystwyth where you can fill a day with fun browsing. Take a walk along the Royal Pier at Aberystwyth or be wowed by the Constitution Hill and Cliff Railway which first opened in 1896.
Walks in the Welsh countryside will take you to either Borth or Tal Y Bont. Borth is packed with charm and has its own Blue Flag beach. You'll be kept busy with shops, cafes and a boutique cinema showing the latest releases. Along the beach you can even find the remains of an ancient sunken forest, visible only at low tide.
Active travelllers should also take in the dazzling views of the coast as you stroll the coastal path or ramble through miles of beautiful countryside.
Don't miss Borth Zoo, offering unwanted animals and exotic pets a new home. There are lots of attractions and daily activities and the reptile shows are perfect for anyone brave enough to touch and stroke lizards and snakes. The kids can see crocodiles, cats, owls and meerkats being fed. For the smallest ones, cuddling a bunny or grooming a sweet pony is a treat.
Try a game at Borth and Ynyslas Golf Club and then come face to face with lovely nature at Ynyslas Nature Reserve and Sand Dunes. After that, a cuppa in the cafe at the park's sister site, Searivers, is a great choice.
