The site is also close to Cornish Mining Trails and The Great Flat Lode for those looking for adventure. This site is ideal to set off on many of the area's walking and cycling routes that take you around the reservoir. You're also able to go bird watching at some of the bird hides located around the lake.

There are plenty of opportunities for Fly and Coarse fishing and, of course, the Water sports centre where there's Canoeing, Sailing, and Windsurfing.

There are plenty of activities to do nearby this site - you're spoilt for choice. From the golden sands of Gwithian beach just outside of Redruth. and the breathtaking views of the Minack Theatre at Land's End.
