About Cledan Valley
Located just south east of the Snowdonia National Park in the wilds of Mid Wales, Cledan Valley is billed as a place where "adults find big peace and children find big adventure". Cledan Valley offers a maximum of seven pre-set accommodation types around an 8-acre site, off-grid site in a beautiful, hidden valley that you would never believe is only 1.5 miles from the A470. The offers peace and comfort in a wild and exciting landscape where Red Kites and Buzzards soar overhead. Ideal for families, there is plenty of woodland and open areas to play in and you can join as the owners feed the chickens and llamas in a neighbouring field if you like - you might even find some fresh eggs! The shared toilet and shower block is cleaned daily, warm and spring water fed. The communal lodge is open 24hrs and offers a dry, warm space filled with toys, books and games, outside is a covered area with gas and charcoal barbecues. There is firewood available on site and all the cooking equipment that you could need. The accommodation includes yurt, bell tent and shepherd's hut, so take a look and choose what suits you best, they all have gas cookers available and fire bowls outside. There are plenty of quiet spots on site and if you fancy a day trip as the site is within an hour of Shrewsbury, Several beaches, Snowdonia, Mountain Bike trails, Powis Castle, Elan Valley, Aberystwyth, Red Kite Feeding, The Osprey Project, Park Hall Farm, Narrow gauge railways and more...
The site is open from May until September.
There are 4 accommodation options on-site
2 x Bell Tents
Max 5 people
Traditional bell tents, comfortably furnished and close to the facilities. The carpeted tents have lots of space, wood burning stoves and futon beds. Outside is a fire bowl and BBQ area. The tents sleep up to five on comfortable beds.
Red Kite Yurt
Max 6 people
Mongolian yurt with wooden floors, wood burner and real beds. 18ft Red Kite Yurt sleeps up to six on a double, plus single-over-double bunk bed, cots available at no extra cost.
Shepherd's Hut
Separated from the main field by young trees, this cute shepherd's hut is perfect for singletons or couples. Inside is a proper double bed, wood stove, gas hob, solar lighting and breakfast bar. Outside is a private picnic bench.

Site rules and policies
Check in after 3pm and check out by 11am.
No smoking in the buildings or accommodation
Outdoor fire bowls and fire pits are available for each guest and are a great part of the experience however during times of extreme dry weather the site may ask you not to use them, purely if the risk of fire is too great.

Several interesting towns are within easy reach, including Llanidloes, Machynlleth, New Quay, Aberdovey, Welshpool and Aberystwyth.
The Snowdonia National Park is 30 minutes away by car, while Cledan Valley is within an hour's drive from many other local attractions including:
