About Basingstoke Canal Centre Campsite

This site is in very easy reach from the M3, close to amenities in Mytchett and North Camp and less than ten minutes in the car from the centre of the towns like Camberley, Farnborough and Aldershot. Experience the lovely canal setting from an open grass field, ideal for campers and tourers. There is no electric hook-up, but quiet generators are allowed during sociable hours. If you've always fancied staying in a yurt, the site has one you can hire. You can leave the car boot fairly empty, with furnishings and cosy shelter provided for you when you arrive, but do bring your usual camping beds. At least one guest will need to be 25 years old or over. Dogs are welcome on your pitch, but sorry they cannot stay in the yurt.

Open from 1 March to 31 October

Facilities and amenities

Site facilities include water points, a dish washing area, and token operated power points for hairdryers. A small charge also applies for ice pack freezing and charging mobiles. Toilets, showers and a café are all based in the Canal Visitor Centre, just a short walk from the camping field.

Nearby, just a two minute walk away, the Potters Inn has their own steakhouse and bar.
