Moorhouse campsite is a picturesque family-run campsite set by the idyllic Quantock Hills, just a short distance from the Jurassic Coast and beaches. There are grass pitches for tents, two camping pods and a vintage caravan called Dolly available for hire. This is a great getaway for families with young kids, as they're sure to be entertained for hours on end by the playgrounds and guinea pigs.

Amazing campsite, really nice pitches, great facilities, really clean. Owners were super friendly and easy going. Loved the roaming chickens (so did our dog from afar lol) and wild rabbits. Found this site by accident but will defo go again. It's also nicely located for trips to local places like Dunster, Watchet etc. Great local pubs and shops. All in all, had a great three days, even though the weather was rubbish.

We stayed for 4 days. On the whole the facilities are very good. The only negative is the showers. I found that they were just not good enough and there was also a lack of a changing area which made showering then keeping your towel and clothes dry a bit of a challenge. This was fairly minor and all other facilities were really good and very well kept. Our children loved the sandpit and climbing frame in the large field.
Very nice stay at Moorhouse Campsite!

Very easy to find and check in was simple as our map was out for us with our plot marked on it. The site was laid out very well and everything was maintained well. The outdoor kitchen and seating area is a very practical place and the fridge freezer is handy for ice packs. Be aware you will need 50p pieces for the showers which were nice and hot and lasted about 5 minutes per 50p. The overall look of the campsite was more than pleasant and I liked the various BBQ, seating and fire pit areas. Arriving on a Friday, we were happy to find a pizza truck on site allowing us to treat ourselves on the first night. I would highly recommend this site and would definitely stay again. The local pub in walking distance was also handy. Thank you Moorhouse for a very nice, relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Lovely venue. Plenty of space. Very clean. Good as a base for day trips or nice just chill at campsite. Owners are not always available on site and although they leave their mobile numbers to call or message, they are not very speedy to respond or easy to locate. On site shop was never open - unless you could track down an owner to open up for you. 10:30pm nightly curfew was not adhered to, despite contacting owners to inform of loud music and noisy group of people. Stay could have been improved if facilities/owners were available more readily.
Absolutely fantastic campsite

The pitches were super clean and well maintained. The toilets and showers were cleaned daily and very close to our pitch. Was absolutely lovely staying here for the weekend. Bought some firewood from the little shop and got so much for the money. Great experience.

Perfect! We had a fab weekend here camping. The staff are very friendly, helpful and they are very hardworking! The campsite is so clean and quiet, and there's free things you can use on site which we found really helpful - fridge, kettle etc. We will definitely be returning here. Thank you so much!

We used the site as a base to do a bit of walking. Facilities were clean and tidy, and quite close to most pitches. On site shop opening hours were very limited, and there were about 80 kids on a school trip one night, which did stretch the facilities somewhat. Having said that, this was a lively site and would recommend and revisit again 😊👍
Clean and nicely laid-out

Maybe in the school holidays it's not one for adults that want a quiet stay as there were a lot of kids in the park area. However it was spotlessly clean and fields were separated with hedges which was lovely. My only other criticism if I am trying to find any was I needed 50p for showers and the shop was only open 2 hours a day!
Great

Fantastic site, really well maintained, spotless and everything you need and more. Nothing to fault, couldn't rate it more. Little extras like communal cooking area, fire pits, animals everywhere - goats, ponies, chickens and rabbits. Excellent. 100% family and dog friendly, we will definitely go back.

There was no welcome at this site, just a phone number to ring to find out what pitch you could get. This is a mostly static site occupied by workers from the Hinkley Point construction site. However, the pitch reserved for guests was almost empty and we chose a place that suited us. The toilet block, although very clean, had no showers, just gents' and ladies' toilets and a washroom for dishes. The shower block was a further walk away and hot water was via a 50p meter. Having said that, if you are looking for peace and quiet then this place is ideal. No noise from wild parties, no screaming kids just the chatter of birds in the trees. There are some really nice walks from the farm that take you to some amazing rock pools and prehistoric rock formations.

What a lovely site and so well run! We will be staying here again. Lots of space for children to play. Chickens and Guinea pigs for children to look after. Nice little shop with reception. Lots of communal facilities (BBQ/fire pits/picnic tables etc). Farm track to a very nice local pub 👍🏼 Really enjoyed our stay with 3 children and a dog.

Great family-oriented campsite for all the family. Loved seeing free-range chickens and visiting the Guinea pigs too. Site was sooo clean and beautiful/interesting too. Moorhouse had all the facilities needed, including a microwave, fridge and kettle, ample space for camping and playing including a welcoming/friendly owner (Simon). There was a nice walk to the beach which took 45 minutes, following directions from a useful information board. Definitely would return again. 5 stars overall.

Fantastic! From the warm greeting we received on arrival to the goodbye wave we received when leaving, we couldn't have felt more welcome. Loads of room in the big field. My 10-year-old son soon made friends with other children and enjoyed playing. The toilets/washing-up kitchen was spotlessly clean and stayed that way throughout our visit. Perfectly situated for walks over the hills and visits to nearby towns (we went to Watchet and Minehead). We'll definitely be back. Thank you.

I had a great couple of days/nights spent at Moorhouse Campsite. It was easy to access and easy to find our pitch. The campsite had brilliant facilities which were cleaned multiple times a day. 10/10 across the board, and we will definitely be returning! Thanks for a lovely couple of days.

First time away with our 19 week old puppy camping. As a 3 generation family, our granddaughter enjoyed the pirate ship sandpit & slide climbing frame. Ground is level, which is great for camping, though there are some sneaky rocks under the grass when banging in tent pegs. The freshly made pizza van that came to the site on Friday evening was a hit. A little suggestion maybe - numbered pitches to avoid confusion when pitching up. The owners very friendly & helpful & it was lovely to let our granddaughter watch and feed the chickens.

Fantastic campsite with helpful and friendly staff. Would thoroughly recommend for those with young children to book this site as it was brilliant, with the children's play area inclining a pirate ship and sand pit. One of the best sites we have stayed on in a while and would definitely book to stay again.
