With a variety of sizes and specifications, there is a camping option here for everybody and every budget. They are so convenient, no need to carry your cumbersome camping gear, let Shieling Holidays do the hard work, you simply turn up, camp, then leave, no setting up, or taking down of your tent. Bedlinen is provided - bring your own towels. Clean, bright and spacious, with real beds, Shieling Tents have been carefully sited with spectacular sea views from the small, friendly, spotlessly clean campsite. Shieling Holidays excellent facilities include, hard-standing or astro-turf pitches, electric hook-up, lovely hot showers, a common room with basic kitchen facilities, free WiFi, TV and a solid-fuel stove. There are also self-serve laundrette facilities, a pot-wash area and a games room, as well as a designated campfire area and useful drying tents. Shieling Holidays are ideally located on the island, Craignure being nice and central on the east coast, great for exploring the north, south and west of the island. When arriving on Mull after your long journey, Shieling Holidays are a mere less than a five minute drive around the bay from the ferry. Shieling Holidays are in a handy position for easy access to all of the Islands local amenities and transport links, yet well away from the main road, peacefully tucked away on a quiet, secluded peninsula where you can watch the ferries come and go and enjoy a slower pace of life. Just a 2 minute stroll to the local village pub offering bar meals, with further restaurant options, café, village shop, ferry and bus terminals, where you can catch a bus to Duart castle, Tobermory or Iona (Staffa boat trips), all within easy walking distance through the village of Craignure. You can walk to the Island swimming pool, nine hole golf course, or Duart Castle. Meander through forestry tracks, go hill climbing or wander directly onto the shore, all directly from the campsite. A perfect base to explore all Mull has to offer, where otters live on site, eagles fly overhead, dolphins play in the bay and time stands still.
The site is open from March until the end of October, with opening dates varying in line with Easter.

Late arrivals
If your ferry is due to arrive in Craignure after 7.30 pm. in the summer months, or 5pm. in the winter months, please make a note on your booking enquiry form, or send us an email to let us know and once your booking has been fully paid and confirmed, we will send you a 'Late Arrival' email containing all the information you will require to self check-in.
Please note, the ferry that arrives in Craignure at 19:06 hours, gives you plenty time to reach us before we close.
If you have not informed us of a late arrival, but have not arrived with us before we have closed, we will automatically send you a 'Late Arrival' email, so please check your emails upon arrival, should you arrive and find reception has closed.

Things to do on site and in the Isle Of Mull area
Bring your pooch and he'll have the time of his life! Your four legged friend can be walked freely along the enchanting coastline, or on local forestry walks. The local hills and mountains are readily accessible for those with a head for heights.
Wildlife is everywhere, with white tailed sea eagles flying overhead and otter families living on site, there are many, many opportunities for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike.
Why not take a walk, or short bus ride to visit Duart Castle, the seat of the Clan MacLean.
Drive, or catch a bus to either end of the island to explore further. You'll be glad to hear that the site is located centrally on the island with Tobermory 21 miles north and Fionnphort 35 miles south.
Tobermory is the main town on the Isle of Mull, offering plenty cafes, restaurants, shops, pubs, coastal walks, not to mention the world famous multi-coloured buildings that line the main street, right on the harbour front.
The Isle of Iona is a short ferry ride from Fionnphort, or why not book a boat trip out to the Isle of Staffa to see the world famous Fingal's Cave, or watch and photograph the puffins (end of May to mid July).
There are plenty of white sandy beaches to choose from and a few black sands too, scattered throughout the island. With waterfalls and epic scenery around every corner, the Isle of Mull has something for everyone.
