The ranger service run Knoydart Carbon Cycle Hire, which offers Specialized Hardrock mountain bikes. These are perfect for discovering the peninsula's 9 miles of public road, 17,000 acres of community owned open hill and two specially constructed mountain bike tracks in Inverie.
The service also sell a total of nine walking leaflet guides, covering all the major walking routes, both walks into Knoydart and the three local Munros. What better excuse could you need, to get your itchy feet going?
Fancy a guide? There are official public guided walks and Land Rover tours on foundation land throughout the season.
Whatever you're doing, you're bound to come across fantastic wildlife spotting opportunities and there are two wildlife hides at the east and west end of Long Beach. You're likely to meet the resident raptors including golden eagles, sea eagles, buzzards, peregrine falcons, merlins and sparrow hawks.
A big favourite with visitors, seals can be spotted along the Knoydart coastline and basking shark and minke whales are often seen at the entrance to Loch Nevis.
Visitors are welcome to sea fish around Knoydart's coastline or on the foundation owned Glaschoille Loch (brown trout), and there is no charge for this.
During the season Wilder Ways, a local horse riding school, offer a satellite pony trekking service from Knoydart, which is an incredible experience for riders of any level.
