Ryan Bay Holiday Park is tucked beside the shores of charming Loch Ryan and makes an excellent family and dog friendly base for discovering the west coast of Scotland. With the ferry line close by it's perfect for trips over to Northern Ireland or you can get to know the coastline with long relaxing walks or cycles or even explore the closer region with a Cinema, Indoor Swimming Pool and Soft Play in the nearby Town of Stranraer.
About Ryan Bay Holiday Park
This well equipped park sits by the water with excellent views (and pretty walks) a few miles from Stranraer in South West Scotland. Access is excellent thanks to the A77 and it's a quick drive from the area's attractive villages - Portpatrick, Kirkcudbright and Glenluce and the sandy beach of Sand Head. The park's pitches are set on well maintained grassland, offering Touring with electric and water at every pitch. Seasonal pitches are also available for those looking to park up the caravan long term. A friendly park warden is on hand should you need anything. Ryan Bay has an outdoor children's play area, an array of animals which include Pygmy Goats, Alpacas and Jack the Donkey and also includes a family friendly holiday homes for hire, which are fully furnished to sleep between six and eight.
Holiday homes are available from 1st of March to the 6th of January. Touring, motorhomes and camping from 1st March to 31st of October.

Things to do on site and in the Stranraer area
Head to Cairnryan where a ferry will take you to Northern Ireland - it's only a 20 mile journey. If you've always wanted to see Belfast's Titanic Quarter, it couldn't be easier.
For pretty blooms you can drive a quick ten minutes to Castle Kennedy Gardens and Portpatrick Harbour is another charming and scenic spot. Grab a drink in one of its venues and watch the boats bob by.
If the kids need to use up some energy bring them to Agnew Park, where there are go-karts to zip in, a mini train to ride in and a pretty boating lake. Visit the Ryan Centre and Theatre where you can see shows, swim in the indoor pool and have a go on the water slide or even take in a film at the cinema.
If it's indoor fun then why not visit Bounce Inflatables where there are lots of activities including large soft play areas to keep the kids entertained.
